Antonio Brown

Only if it was an unwanted action. Not my taste, but who knows what's her predilections are. Especially given the innumerable times she instigated contact with Brown AFTER that incident. She'd have and awfully good explanation for that inconsistency to get my vote
She tells Roger that it was unwanted. Suspension. Easy peasy.

He didn't punish Kraft, and gave Gordon a free pass, so I think he reverses course on AB because he will think he's coming across as being "lenient on the Patriots."

Hasn’t punished Chung yet either.

What does that have to do with the NFLs own set of rules and punishment? We’ve gone over examples where charges weren’t brought forth and suspensions still handed down. Roethlisberger and Elliot are the two most famous examples. They both served suspensions. Other players have been suspended by the club and or placed on the commissioner’s list.

If it were as simple as Florida filing/not filing charges, the NFL wouldn’t have announced their involvement last night.

I am merely responding to the guy who said Brown may end up in jail. This has nothing to do with Goodell and his "hand of justice."

At the end of the day, there has to be evidence against Brown. There was no police report, nor was there a rape kit. Unless there is a video of the incident, she really has no case, civil or criminal.

If I hear the words "Ted Wells is going to investigate", I'm going to lose it. Lol seriously what ever happened to that guy? The leagues investigations are a joke anyway, can see this investigation result not ending great for the patriots, just to make all the other teams happy. You know since the league can punish however they want under that one little conduct clause.

In Ted Wells world, Brady’s facing 4 games. ABs been his houseguest for what, a week? That’s enough to get Brady for being generally aware.

Yes, she has no criminal case, which may be part of why charges were never brought forth. She may not have followed the right procedure or notified police in a timely manner, etc. If you’re speaking about criminal charges, then it’s probably unlikely that he’ll ever face anything.

Whether he is able to play football again without interruption is a different story, of course.

What the NFL could do
Because the allegations are part of a civil lawsuit, Brown is still eligible to play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Brown officially joined the Patriots Monday and was expected to participate in practice Wednesday. Roger Goodell could place Brown on the commissioner’s exempt list, which is effectively a paid leave of absence. Brown would remain a Patriot but not count toward New England’s 53-man roster.

If Goodell doesn’t place Brown on the commissioner’s exempt list, then it’s up to the Patriots to make a decision about his future.

The guy doesn't sound like an angel at all. As I said in an earlier post, I would not be surprised if the Pats cut him loose, and if they do, he's likely done in the NFL.

No, he might be released because he didn’t tell them about all of this before they signed him. Before they traded away a useful player to a division rival for a roster spot and cap space for him.

Rosenhaus had to know, which means the Patriots knew.

If Rosenhaus knew and didn’t tell them, his career as a Agent will be over as no team will ever trust him again.

With some graphic email evidence to corroborate her story, at least on some level.

There have been plenty of reasons to suspend Brown for doing crazy stuff, and it might be hard for the team or league to look the other way this time.

Let's say Brown gets cut or is suspended or something such that he's not available to the Patriots. DT has been traded. That would leave the receiving corps as:

Gordon
Edelman
Dorsett
Meyers
Gunner

They would have gone from AB, Gordon, DT, Edelman, Dorsett, Meyers to Gordon, Edelman, Dorsett, Meyers, Gunner. Quite a drop-off. But I guess they haven't really even had AB yet, so whatever.

They should be fine, but a lot thinner having traded DT.

AB very likely didn't think something like this would happen. It would probably be very odd if he had told the organization "Oh, btw, I shot my load on some girl's back two years ago but she was dressed, mind you."

His attorneys are saying this is part of an ongoing extortion effort. Forgive me, but I think he had an obligation to tell them someone was trying to extort money from him.

Would it be wise to just cut bait? We don't really need this headache.

At the end of the day she only needs to get the jury to believe it was more likely than not (as the hackneyed phrase goes, “50% and a feather”) to be able to win. Just a he-says-she-says may well get the jury to 50% and AB probably being an ******* (whether or not he actually did it) might provide that last grain of sand on the scales.

Daniel Wallach @Wallachlegal says the analogous case to this was the Derrick Rose case, as both suits were filed without a prior police report having been filed. Rose wasn’t found liable.

I meant that initially everyone ignored it and asked why she came out after such a long time. It wasn't until there were multiple
Acaccusers that she ended up on cnn.

People did not ignore it, I remember it. The public initially thought he was innocent due to 50 years of public identification of him as a family man. Antonio Brown does not have the same cache and has the opposite persona.

I'm sorry but I don't take things out of the context of facts.
1. She has slept with him.
2.She did not report it criminally
3. She allowed it to re-occur
4. She waited until he had loads of money coming to him that she could interrupt the flow of.
5. Her friend texted Brown and said it was going to happen and that she admitted it was a lie.

To me that is enough to give him the benefit of the doubt, over and above "innocent until proven guilty".

I don't see any reason for the Patriots to give him any benefit of the doubt. Apparently the team was completely blindsided by this in spite of the fact that Brown's whole defense seems to be that he was being extorted all along... meaning he knew something like this could be imminent and withheld that from the team.

That alone is cause for severing ties with him, independent of if he even committed the alleged acts or not.

I sure hope the NFL doesn’t come down on Brown the way they did Manning when he dragged his sack over his trainers face. That would be devastating.

Whether or not he is at practice or not will tell us a lot.

Which would mean his agent knew and decided not to tell the Patriots???

Come on the Patriots knew!!

Rosenhaus career as an agent would be OVER!!

In her suit, Taylor says she wants compensation
She also wants punitive damages -- though she does not specify an amount

What...no criminal charges???

Shady.
That is strange. Thinking money first isn’t a typical reaction to such a horrendous act.
