I read 15 pages and had to stop. This thread has so much misinformation and SJW garbage that I almost died of laughter!

The better idea is what most people do when they become celebrities - only date other celebrities because they are at a similar level. However, most athletes date/marry long time girlfriends or fool around with groupies/thirsty Instagram hoes (not a good idea).

I've always said that should I become a celebrity, I would install cameras all over my house and inform every chick that came over of that fact. Them agreeing to me having cameras and microphones recording everything we do before even entering my home counts as consent, and if they didn't consent, they'd need to leave my pad, period.

Considering I'm currently a micro-celebrity, I need to begin looking for cameras lol

The patriots had to have know about this potentially coming out right?
You would think so. I would think the contract gives them an out if he doesn't disclose anything bad like this. I was surprised the pats were blindsided by Hernandez and his creepy friends and activities. They have team security that watches for that stuff. Maybe they knew and played him anyway until it blew up? Do we really know these guys running the team? The business is to win games and that is what they do. They must justify it by pointing to the lack of choirboys in the NFL and it is necessary in order to be competitive. Anyway, the team knew Brown brings a circus with him and it is starting regardless of his guilt or innocence.

Is it not relatively common knowledge that polygraphs are not all that effective (even in best case 80%, in the judicial system, that leaves a pretty significant margin of error - 1 in 5 are wrong)?

Legitimately asking, I'm willing to admit - I'm super-duper far left and like to read up on these things. So maybe I shouldn't assume that's common knowledg

Thanks for explaining. Gotta say, I'm not a huge fan of the logic there - but I'm not implying that you said I have to be a fan, nor do I assume you like it (or don't) either, and that you were just relaying information to me.

Much of the scientific discussion on reliability of polygraph evidence can be found in United States v. Scheffer. A good evidence law case.

I am a defense attorney, not a prosecutor. The only time I like polygraph results is when they prove a point I am trying to make. Generally, I view them as evil props in interrogations.

We all know this ends with Brown winning Super Bowl MVP in February.
If he is in fact being falsely accused of rape I hope he has 1500 yards receiving, 15 TDs and the Super Bowl MVP.

False rape accusations are sinister and disgusting and enough to make me root for someone I dislike as much as AB.

she says in the complaint she went back to his house to get some belongings...the very next day after she was violently raped...crazy

And then a year later flew from Tennessee to Florida to visit him again. Strange.

So he plays on Sunday, unless circumstances change.
That is not how I read that. Based on the hate for AB and the Pats, there may be pressure for the league to put him on commissioner exempt list. Dude might loose it.
I find it ironic that someone is using AB's secretly saved emails against him. The shoe is on the other foot now.

I still say he's one and done....

Hopefully the NFL's investigation doesn't take him off the field for the next 5 months....

I don’t understand the notion that this case has anything to do with bad journalism.

These allegations were not spawned of a journalistic investigation; it came via the filing of a civil lawsuit.

It says that the league is opening an investigation. You figure that investigation will wrap up before Sunday? If so, there will be a howling that might never end, given how the league went about its way during the Hill situation.

I don't like the sounds of this. WTF does the league need to investigate regarding a civil suit? If it was a criminal charge, sure -- but a civil suit? I just hope Baddell isn't fishing for a way to keep Brown away from the Pats to help his Chiefs-to-Super Bowl agenda.

Deflategate popped right before the Super Bowl and they won through that distraction. A civil lawsuit against a player will have little effect.
Deflategate was ******** from the jump. It was also an assault on BB and TBs professional credibility at a time when neither should have been reasonably questionable. This is an allegation of ABs personal credibility at a high point of some strange circumstances around his personal conduct. If this was happening while he was on the Steelers, ZERO people here would be defending him. The main differentiating factor here in perspective appears to be that he is now on the Patriots. Ok.

Again, I’m all for fairness and whatever appropriate legal channels this goes thru now, so be it. Not wishing him ill or presuming guilt in any way, certainly there are some strange circumstances around these allegations. Personally, I didn’t want to root for this dude on Friday, and I don’t want to do it now. If other people feel differently, that’s fine. Team ain’t all Boy Scouts, that’s cool.

That is pretty much all that some people post here. They should just kill themselves.
I understand rape is terrible. However I don't jump to save women just because its a female. Yes, I believe some men are swayed because they want to defend a defenseless female. If there's proof, ill be on her side. However im on NEITHER side til we get more info.
