If she has some sort of evidence that he threatened her into visiting him via cross country flight, I'm definitely listening. Aside from that, the evidence I've seen so far doesn't seem to suggest rape...but...who the **** knows?

Like so many others have said, the timing is extremely...interesting

something seems shady. We may never know the truth but I hope we don't just release the guy to make a statement.

Comments:

1.) Guilty until proven innocent is how we approach sexual assault cases. And it should be that way...most victims are telling the truth. So, it is better to err on the side of the victim.
wow it blows my mind that somebody can actually believe that. What a dangerous ignorant brain-dead attitude. You should seek electro shock treatments. WTF:rolleyes:o_O what are you some kind of mind reader?

.....do you think sexual assault isn’t a major problem?
Do you think that people like to extort money?
ALL THE TIME!!
The timing is more than suspect.
But I know I wont be agreed with, because....JEEZ

I have NO idea what happened so let me say this

IF he did it, stick his ass in jail.

IF she is LYING, stick HER ass in jail.
People don’t get thrown in jail if they get sued. If the lawsuit is upheld they lose money. Why is that so hard for some people to comprehend?

Honestly regardless of what happens, we probably should just cut him. We don't need him and this is the last thing this team needs. Nobody is going to touch him with this thing going on. Sucks for what could have been but some things are bigger than football

So cut him on no evidence he did anything wrong

Would you have kept Big Ben after he got off even though we could all see pretty clearly he was guilty? That’s the standard I’m going for.

The details we are seeing so far, support AB. We’ll see how it develops.
The standard of if it looks like he did it is far different from he did it and just didn’t get prosecuted.
Your post sounded like you want to read stories and cut him depending if you believe them or not.

Innocent until proven guilty means we don’t throw you in jail it doesn’t mean you get to keep making millions of dollars playing a game. The NFL and the Patriots as private companies have every right to cut bait with an employee that they feel reflects poorly on them for just about any reason.

And why would the patriots cut bait with a 10 million dollar contract because someone is asking a judge to give them money for alleged rape?

Theres nothing so overwhelming to read here that the Patriots should do anything

Her behavior and his messages to her all point toward a money grab. Why on earth would we assume he is guilty and why would the Patriots react negatively until some of the evidence starts to point the other way??Also, the idea that Rosenhaus didn’t disclose this to the Patriots is absurd. They know about it, their PR team will deal with it and they will use the media hate to bring them closer together.

We should probably wait for this to play out before making any judgements either way.
That is not how this society works these days. You get accused of something; you are GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY. Period.
Pats should have left this alone. We already had a good team. We don't need him. And we let Thomas go for this guy and gave him to the Jets.
Never a moment of peace for us Pats fans. Always something.

Honestly regardless of what happens, we probably should just cut him. We don't need him and this is the last thing this team needs. Nobody is going to touch him with this thing going on. Sucks for what could have been but some things are bigger than football
Well we’ve already invested in him so we might as well wait a little and find out more. It’s not right to cut him loose if she is straight up lying which is a very real possibility.

If the police were hauling him off to jail, I think many here would have a different attitude. Instead she is asking for money. That puts a different spin on it to many people. Especially when it happened years ago, on numerous occasions, and it seems, at least from the outside looking in, like during a time they were in some kind of relationship.
I’m open to the possibility that she is an awful person and that she is lying for financial gain. But, read the replies to my comments. By suggesting a majority of assaulted women are telling the truth and that I feel society has let them down by not taking them seriously, I’ve been bombarded.

I do also find it suspicious in her statement she says she's willing to work with any nfl investigation when one hasn't even started yet. I usually like to hear more info before judging the situation but man this one right away stinks of money and wanting to ruin someone's life.

I don't want to criticize you too much. But there's many many credible rape and assault cases that came up a long time after the actual incident and people tried to discredit it by saying "why did she wait so long".

Rape is extremely traumatic and emotionally distressing. A lawsuit opens that person up to having every personal decision picked apart, slut shaming, etc. It's a lot to go through and she wouldn't be the first person to wait.
She also wouldn't be the first person to lie.

Always drama with this flippin team. Can't just enjoy the season. I'm sorry but the timing of this is crazy. Did a Kansas City law firm file the suit? Maybe a Baltimore firm? If the Eagles had signed him would the national sports media be rooting against him?

No, it is never how anything should ever be approached in the land of the free. Ever.

I have NO idea what happened so let me say this

IF he did it, stick his ass in jail.

IF she is LYING, stick HER ass in jail.
So somebody's ass is ending in jail? I thought this was civil court.

I dont think anyone is dismissing anything. I think people are rationally curious as to why no criminal charges are filed along with the lawsuit. And why someone would intentionally put themselves in harm's way like that. Most intelligent people would stop meeting up with someone after they came on their back without consent.
I never suggested she was intelligent. Nor did I suggest she is necessarily telling the truth.

I’ve said women have not been believed to the extent that I feel they should have. And I can’t imagine how helpless victims feel.

in the complaint:
61. The next day, Ms. Taylor had to return to Brown’s home to retrieve personal belongings before flying back to Memphis.

This was the day after he violently raped her..
so being violantly raped leads almost always to some sort of injuries in specific areas...you don't go to hospital ? don't call the police? yeah alright why would you do it? i mean what would be the best evidence you've been violantly raped if not be the doctors report on your injuries after it occured?

don't want to defend brown, guy is stupid, but boy this is f**d up

the timing, the story, everything makes me feel its set up
