Our criminal/civil justice system has never changed; in a criminal/civil justice proceeding the presumption of innocence until proven guilty remains, and the gears of justice churn forward.

There are always going to be dishonest, deceitful individuals but that’s not particularly relevant to better pursuing justice for women who’ve actually been abused, since again, there are false accusations of all kinds in our criminal/civil justice system, and not only false rape allegations coming from women.

The facts of this situation will be borne out and we can determine how to feel at that time. In the meantime it’s probably best to avoid passing judgment on either the woman or Brown until/unless we have factual evidence.

If Antonio did it then he should be jailed.
If she is proved to be lying then she should be put in jail too. Such accusation should carry huge jail times if either sides are proven to be lying.

This **** never ends.

Bill didnt even release Hernandez until AFTER he was arrested for a homicide that was all over the news.

I'm glad we have a man who uses his head and thinks things through before he goes and ruins someone's life WITHOUT factually known what did or did not happen

I shouldn't even have to say this but it goes without saying that if he did what hes ACCUSED of doing then this is no place for him.

What's the significance of it being a federal lawsuit. Is it because these alleged rapes occurred in several states? Is she claiming that she traveled across the country with guy that was raping her? Where are the attorneys when you need them god damn it.

Your first point casually undermines concepts of fundamental fairness and due process that have formed the underpinnings of western civilization for almost 1,000 years. You should not be able to vote.

After reading the emails twice, the only reference to sex I see is a couple mentions of how it potentially finished. I don't see anything that substantially supports that this was an unwelcome event. If those emails are the evidence on which the suit is based, I am inclined to side with Brown at this time. We will see.

Innocent until proven guilty means we don’t throw you in jail it doesn’t mean you get to keep making millions of dollars playing a game. The NFL and the Patriots as private companies have every right to cut bait with an employee that they feel reflects poorly on them for just about any reason.

Honestly regardless of what happens, we probably should just cut him. We don't need him and this is the last thing this team needs. Nobody is going to touch him with this thing going on. Sucks for what could have been but some things are bigger than football

If the police were hauling him off to jail, I think many here would have a different attitude. Instead she is asking for money. That puts a different spin on it to many people. Especially when it happened years ago, on numerous occasions, and it seems, at least from the outside looking in, like during a time they were in some kind of relationship.

I don't want to criticize you too much. But there's many many credible rape and assault cases that came up a long time after the actual incident and people tried to discredit it by saying "why did she wait so long".

Rape is extremely traumatic and emotionally distressing. A lawsuit opens that person up to having every personal decision picked apart, slut shaming, etc. It's a lot to go through and she wouldn't be the first person to wait.

The thing about this statement that give me hope it's true, is that a lot of it is verifiable. Flight records, video surveillance at high end adult clubs, text messages, ect. Perhaps the most damning is she claimed it happened on multiple encounters she in part intiated over long periods of time. Something she herself claimed i believe. I find that highly curious.

Will wait and see what happens.

American police departments regularly post mugshots (i.e. of people not yet convicted of any crime) on social media. I'd be careful with that presumption of innocence and totalitarian regime stuff.

Wrong. If the Patriots released him and then he was found innocent he would be able to sue the Patriots to get back his money.

I dont think anyone is dismissing anything. I think people are rationally curious as to why no criminal charges are filed along with the lawsuit. And why someone would intentionally put themselves in harm's way like that. Most intelligent people would stop meeting up with someone after they came on their back without consent.
