There was a police report in Roethlisberger's case in which the plaintiff (who did not know Roethlisberger) said she was sexually assaulted by him at a bar, and there were witnesses. The case was a lot stronger than this, which appears to be sordid he-said/she-said stuff among people with a financial and sexual history. It doesn't speak highly of Brown's judgment, certainly, but... we kinda already knew that?

Actually should have done it when he still had that megadeal with the Raiders. He signed for less than that here.

Well her first attempt to squeeze some money out of him, according to his attorney anyway, was after he signed his deal with Pittsburgh.

Or by the women admitting they lied. See Brian Banks. The woman got hundreds of thousands of dollars. Banks got 5 years behind bars.

If true, he needs to be released immediately . I just find the timing extremely suspect.
This is why we should not have let DT go till we knew if this guy would work out or not !!

Yes. While that is true, for every man who has gone to prison due to a lie, there are thousands of women who have suffered at the hands of an abuser who “got away with it”.

The entire situation is sad. Men misbehave and get a free pass far too often. Women DO lie, but the great majority do not.

I’ve seen several folks state something along the lines of, “why did she go back to Brown 3 times after she was first raped”, implying the allegations are false, or that they don’t matter because she’s stupid.

Let’s assume the allegations are false. I’ve seen exactly 1 person say the logical equivalent, which is, “why did Brown continue to sexually engage with this woman he knew was extorting him”?

A little consistency please, folks.
