I'm usually much more cautious about giving into skepticism than the rest of this board but, boy, that timing.

why didnt she file charges then?
*Ignoring the current situation and speaking generally*

There’s a lot of reasons a sexual assault victim wouldn’t. The investigation is very intrusive and requires the victim to relive the trauma they just went through. It’s not as simple and shady as waiting to file charges as opposed to immediately wanting to call the cops.

I'm guessing his uniform number isn't that important now.

I will not presume to know what may or may not of happened but to me the timing sounds an awful lot like.a hit.

Dont forget. Randy moss beat up a chick leading up to the superbowl.

Hard to believe purely based on the timing. I think this is about money he stopped paying her. She probably had something going on with him and he ended it and the money stopped. She may feel used and wants to disgrace him.
So someone exposes themselves, pulls their meat out, starts to do his "thing" and you stay until he finishes off on your back? I know AB is crazy but this story is hard.

Hope we wait it out and see what happens not jump to conclusions and release him right away.

Summary here: Leaked Direct Messages Suggest Antonio Brown Is Being Extorted With Fake Sexual Assault Claim

Important to remember that Moss and Edelman were both the victims of false claims, so while I'm not going to assume innocence or attack the alleged victim or anything I'm also not going to rush to judgment against him.
Assuming the Pats asked AB if there was anything in the closet and IF he knew about this and IF he didn't inform the Pats, would that be grounds for voiding the contract and clawing back the first guaranteed payment?

It seems to me like the lawyers in this suit sense popular opinion has Brown crucified for what he did on the Raiders and it's prime time to take advantage of it.

True, but in a civil case the other lawyer is still going to bring up all the same crap as in a criminal trial. The difference, as I just said in my previous post, really is about the burden of proof needed to win the case. Much lower in a civil trial.

In her suit, Taylor says she wants compensation
Shady.
I am a woman so I can say this. I don't believe her. What took her so long to come forward?
And she wants money. If a man does these things to me, he needs to go to jail. And I am not going back 3 times.

Whoever disliked my opinion, I don't like you either and I will not be bullied into having the same opinion as everyone else. I just won't. Lots of internet bullies in the world. I have been through a lot and seen a lot in this life. I have learned not to believe everything people say.

What would be the correct time? There really aren’t that many false rape charges compared to real ones. We’ll see how this unfolds.

Statement from AB's lawyer:

If this looks to be true, get him outta here. Guess we’ll see how it unfolds.
If it LOOKS to be true? What kind of a standard is that?

The timing of these accusations seems very suspicious...

I trust police reports have been filed?

I am NOT twisting myself into pretzels to defend him. The facts are: The first I heard of it was the report that this other person has a recording of the accuser admitting to trying to extort him. We saw this happen with Moss, Edelman, Derrick Rose, Patrick Kane, etc etc. And, his lawyer has point by point denials instead of a vague "We deny this and won't say anything else at this time".

It seems pretty damn shady when reading it all. It would seem just as shady if he was a Steeler or a Raider, to me at least.

The **** is up with the timing of this "lawsuit"?
What do you mean? The timing is perfect. He just signed a deal.
