Dude's a stud. Helps to have someone like him to cheer for in Gronk's absence. He shakes off tacklers like they're not worthy of trying. My favorite was the catch he made in the open field last night and got clocked helmet to helmet right after. Just stands up and looks around like "!@@#%, you didn't think I was actually going to drop that because of your weak ass @@@@ did you?"

The 20yd catch n run was dare I say, "Gronkish"

His team loves him, his effort is commendable, his skill is undeniable. The only (big) concern is his availability. If you check the percentages, it seems unlikely he can make it through 16+ games.

Was Gronk any different with regards to availability?

Let's enjoy Gordon's production while we have it.

Yeah he is fun to watch, he makes difficult catches, and defenders bouncing off of him. Last night collins kept saying he was 240lbs, i'm not sure thats true, i thought he was arond 225-230

Not sure if this was the angle you were driving at given his off field issues, but he does not seem to shy away at all from taking big hits, which could obviously lead to trouble at some point.

We aren’t talking about Gronk. I agree that 87 also had availability issues to go along with his out of worldly talent.

I’m talking off field. On the field he is strong.

Thanks to Collinsworth, I believe we all know or believe that Gordon is 240 pounds :)

He was excellent last year and basically picked up where he left off. I hope he can overcome his demons (for himself and a little bit selfishly for us fans).

yea 240 seems like a bit much but Josh is a big freaking dude.

There were 2 separate occasions last night I found myself telling my dad Gordon is our Gronk replacement in the passing game.

He just might be

He is.

With him, they get a lot of chunk yardage opportunities. Without him, they don’t. Just like Gronk in his prime. This is why I’ve been saying D. Thomas is competing against Meyers and Dorsett for playing time, while Gordon is totally unique, and why I’ve suggested D. Thomas may just be basically expendable.

The question is what the heck are they going to look like if they have Brown, Gordon, Edelman, Dorsett/Meyers/Thomas, and White on the field at once. If that’s the lineup they can roll out for the majority of the season, Brady is going to win MVP and set a new passer rating record. Oh, also the defense is better than the offense (though that gap is closing.)

Gordon presents similar challenges in the passing game, being 240 pounds and a threat for lots of YAC's. Brown is also a major threat (#7 top PLAYER as voted by NFL players].

Screw the percentages. If it says 3 in 10 then you need to believe that you are in the 3.

Absolutely love this guy. Exciting to watch like Randy was, but I think I enjoy his game more. Seems more versatile.

Great start to his season. I wish him the best on and off the field.

He is more versatile. Can play with physicality over the middle. Not quite as straight line fast as Randy was but still fast and a great long ball threat if they care to use him that way. At his peak he was as good as Calvin Johnson if not better. He's still in his prime physically at 28.

I remember the discussions with my sons that go back to the first SB win in 2001. Enjoy.

get weed off the NFL list and sign a 5 year deal with Gordon :)
