Amazing how many players were involved in this game.

Just about everyone in the secondary contributed, incredible considering how many we got back there. Gilmore, Jackson, Jones, McCourty’s Chung etc. just stacked like I’ve never seen for this team.

Unsung players who you almost think fringe or a good player for another team. Dorsett lit it up tonight, was so happy for the guy. Danny Shelton was about as stout vs the run as you can possibly expect. Rex Burkhead came through when they needed to run and his style maybe was just needed against this Pittsburgh defense. Wasn’t a lot but Michel wasn’t having his best night and Rex was able to salvage the run game to keep selling the play action. Which by the way was excellent.

To be honest I’m not sure if they even need AB, but that kind of talent is rare, like 4 or 5 elite players at a position per decade rare. I’ll take it, can’t even imagine how good they are gonna be.

Holy cow!!!!! Just watching Josh Gordon postgame presser live. Compared to last year, this one was reflective, thoughtful and he gave in depth, very human answers. This was like watching a completely different person. I’m stunned at the difference and very happy to see him like this!!!!!

I don't want to jump the gun, but this Pats D might be special. Wow.

It's incredible to realize that the Patriot receivers who didn't suit up tonight -- Brown, Thomas and Harry -- essentially make up a second NFL-caliber receiving corps. In fact, quite possibly a better corps than the Steelers'.

LOL. Going to be such a shame when Tomlin is fired. I’m not sure he will finish the season as Steelers HC.

This defense is 2003 all over again. Teams may as well punt on 3rd downs because they’ll have a hard time converting on 3rd 5+.

The versatility at all 3 levels of the D is amazing.

Only gripe with the O-line are the floating snaps from Karras. He needs to work on that as it delays Brady’s ability to get back faster in the pocket. It reminds me of Damien Woody early in his career who was terrible at snapping out of the gun.

Sony had a bad night. Pittsburgh looks like they have a good run D like their early 2000’s days.

Sony faced stacked boxes. Wasn't decisive enough but Tuitt and Hargreave wrecked in the run game. LBs sold out to the run as well against him that's why playaction was effective

And despite the lousy average, Michel picked up some key first downs in situations where the defense was fully set against the run.

That said, Burkhead had a really good night. He's been injured so much, I'd forgotten how good he can be.

Looking forward to the real test this D will have against the likes of KC.

Definitely. It took a lot of work for me to get that team ready to play, and it was all worth it. Even watching them tonight I felt like my presence, however remote, had a major impact on the game. Thanks for noticing Pherein

I never caught this, or saw it anywhere else... but who was on the headsets calling the D tonight?
