I suspect DT gets IR'd to make room for AB. You can't have two #1 receivers, not enough balls to go around.

DT isn't a #1 receiver. Which is why you might be correct. ON the other hand, he had the opportunity to leave once already and didn't.

Ah Millennials. What to to do with them. Sometimes when I take my walk I wonder about the moral dilemma of what to do if I see one who is staring at his phone while walking directly toward a lamp post. Do I warn him, or laugh hysterically when he rams into it.

These are the time we live in, my friend. ;)

Nobody:
Boomers: Millenials are bad!!!

It goes without saying that we all hope that Mort beats his cancer but it is truly sad seeing him on TV. It is noble of ESPN to keep him on TV and on its payroll (maybe it’s not noble and ESPN execs just have no choice because they would get slaughtered if they fired an employee fighting cancer) because I’m sure he would have been canned a long time ago if it was just about salary compared to value to the company but I’m pretty sure he is just making sh*t up at this point.

To me, Dungy looks like a "South Park" cartoon drawing.

This is essentially the Revis special. He’s 30. He wants to win a Super Bowl and then he wants to get paid.

I'm still never forgiving Mortensen for his lies during the video witch hunt or for the deflated ball witch hunt, so I don't trust his info

.

Everyone talks about how AB will respect BB. I'm more curious about how he will interact with McDaniels, Brady, Edelman.

On the who is released topic, with all of the offensive weapons, just about any QB could get the job done, no?

This is still so surreal. Going from joking around about this for months to it actually happening.

It still feels like this was either an April fools joke or it happened in a weird dream last night.

AB shows himself wearing #84 in all his posts. Do we know the Pats have agreed to give him that #?

What exactly has Brown done that's so bad? Call Mayock a cracker?

I'm not a big fan of the guy's attitude but his baggage is fairly light compared to many other players.

I'm willing to give him a chance.

Ill reserve judgment on the drama with Pittsburgh and Oakland. Here he doesn’t have a qb who will call him out on the radio for running the wrong route and doesn’t have a pushover coach that will enable the stuff that led to him getting out of control. And in Oakland he clearly didn’t wanna be there, whereas he chose to sign here. Not excusing his actions but we just don’t know how he’ll behave in another environment.

He has done some legit scummy stuff though. The things i had a real problem with are when he threw furniture off a balcony and drove 100 on a local road. Both can actually seriously injure or kill somebody. That said, people have done worse things and became better people.

I've long maintained that he's probably got some serious CTE issues from that (those?) Burfict hit(s). If that's actually true, we might have a situation where he's a locker room irritant at times, but it's kept in check when dealing with the leadership (BB, Brady, Kraft) just enough to get him through a season of contributing to #7. The stories will come out after he's departed.

Mort should never be forgiven.

Ever.

84 is Ben Watson...a well-respected veteran.

That is an interesting one.

Unless Ben has a price in mind, AB might be best served to find another one.

I think this writer perfectly captures the view from the sane side of haterville: pure exasperation. The fact that the same team has represented the AFC in the Superbowl 50% of the time for the past 18 freaking years is just too much, and now this? Yes, respect and all that. Yes, deflategate was nonsense. But come on. :)

Brady now has a receiving corps of Antonio Brown, Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon, which is the kind of air attack you don’t usually see outside of a four-team fantasy football league with your grandparents and your dog. It’s like giving Mike Trout an aluminum bat, like letting LeBron James shoot on a 7-foot rim. It’s not fair. It’s not even in the same hemisphere as fair.

This is why everyone hates you, New England
