Reminder From Gronkowski From Less Than Two Weeks Ago

Imagine if Gronk and Marty came back. We could trade one or both for a left tackle and/or center :p

Trade joke aside, that would be a sick offense assuming decent OL play.

Would Gronk's recent CBD promotion have any rule breaking challenges?

In what way? He is no longer under an NFL contract. NFL has no influence.

With that said I'm not sure the NFL would force him to give up promotion $$ if he were to return.

Tell me this is either Gronk or Marty. Get ready people...it's happening ...

Marty would make a ton of sense. Obviously everyone linked him here with his brother being on the team now...

Gronk I still feel like is a legit possibility -- especially after Brown, and if the team is looking crazy after 10 weeks or so (let's say we're undefeated) -- but I can't imagine he's coming out now.

The real question is if during the banner unveiling Gronk has the mic and announces he’ll be back week xx does the crowd set a new record for loudest crowd?

I expect that Gronk would need to stop promoting CBD. With regard to giving back money, that would be part of the contract with the CBD folks. I would think that there would be an out clause for Gronk coming back to playing in the NFL.

Good thoughts. I saw this question on another (unrelated) forum earlier this morning. Never really thought about his not under an NFL contract part of it. Being forced to stop promoting an unrelated product might open up some real legal issues. Judge Berman, are you busy?

The only thing that holds me back is that interview from a few weeks back where he's talking about getting all of the blood drained. Does he forget about all of the pain for a shot at another ring? And likely a very fun time in this offense! I am doubtfully optimistic if that's a thing.

Imagine if both Gronk and Bennett came back? (Sorry Lacosse and Izzo).

People's heads would explode!

CBD is not an unrelated product if it is tested for, and illegal under NFL rules.

I can see Gronk wanting to be a part of this team. He may well have a change of heart. The problem is going to be the contract, as Belichick isn’t going to give him 10 million, and everything will be incentivized, which won’t sit well with Gronk.

His awkward giggle is so classic. I'd love to see him back for one more go round, but I still think he's just kidding about all that. It's funny to him. Still not getting my hopes up.

Joking or not, I still think he'll play at least a few more games. Either this year or possibly next year depending on roster/injury or W/L circumstances.

He will get bored, he will see a chance at a playoff run and just do it.

Is it right he needs to be back by week 11 to avoid cutoff?

I was convinced he would come out of retirement. But after seeing him last night (and even Collinsworth brought it up) he has lost a significant amount of weight. While he looks in great shape, he looks small compared to how he has looked in the past. I starting to think he truly is done. I hope Im wrong.

I think he can play a few games...week 14 would be amazing to see him run out of the tunnel.

If he chose, he can gain 15 pounds and be ready for Thanksgiving.
