Antonio Brown

Also, playing Devil’s advocate, this offense is pretty tough to learn. It’s not like we can plug Brown in and by next Sunday he’s an expert at it. BUT, I’m guessing by his 4th game, he’ll probably be effective. By the 2nd half of the season, as long as he’s not Ochocinco dumb, he’ll be a dangerous weapon.

For the first few weeks he will get a vertical slice of the offense to learn and not the entire thing. But him just being on field will completely screw other teams and how to approach coverages. Give him a couple crossing routes and some deep routes to keep defenses honest initially and that will be enough.

He will be what most here wanted Cooks to be which is funny because when Cooks was signed I was hoping Josh could use him like Brown.

The future
I never would have guessed it in a million years. Tomlin and Gruden bent over backwards to kiss this guy's a**. Lets hope BB's no bull****, "shutup and do your job" toughlove is the approach that finally works with AB.
ironically guys like that do tend to thrive in a selfless atmosphere.
In Pittsburgh he was competing for attention.
Here there is no competition because no one values it. When it’s all for one the diva sometimes fits in because he isn’t among a bunch of peacocks.

doesnt AB return punts? Gunner could be the one to go. cant say im surprised but also I am somewhat surprised.

Alot has to go right in terms of guys staying off drugs and guys not being a locker-room cancer and going crazy...but right now on paper our receivers are

Gordon
Antonio Brown
Edelman
Demaryius Thomas
Dorsett
Meyers

That is a pretty scary receiver core. perhaps the best in the league?

This is all about KC and beating them twice this year
As good as the Pats D appears to be, the offense will need to win a shoot out or two

Bill prefers home playoff games

WHY?

Because AB is one of the top 5 wide receivers in the National Football League......on Sundays...nobody cares about **** off the field or weird personalities...they only care about separation and AB separates from DB's...

It’s either going to blow up in bill’s face or AB us going to chill out

If it "blows up in Bill's face" what's the worst that happens? He is a complaining diva, the Pats cut him, and they're forced to go back to their WR group of Gordon, Edelman, Thomas, and Dorsett, with Harry coming back halfway through the season? Oh well.

See that's the thing: their WR corps is already so good and deep that they can totally withstand this "blowing up". They'd "waste" some cap space, but that's a pretty small thing to risk at this point, given the potential reward.

Let's be clear, AB won't be able to pull that bs hear...but if he continues to work hard and take in the environment of the Patriots locker room, then we'll get this guy and more...

Perhaps the greatest top 3...

Ever.

Huge mistake. He won't last a month. And whom do they cut? Where do they get cap space?

I just hope he doesn't jinx the season.

Harry is already not counting against the 53.

its a gamble by bill, just like Josh Gordon was a gamble...Bill wont handle this like Gruden. if Brown acts up he will be shown the door.

crazy to think a few weeks ago we were looking at our receiver core as Edelman, Meyers, Dorsett....and a few weeks later our top 4 are Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon, Edelman, Demarius Thomas

Our Team is so stacked on Offense that even the Miami Curse just did this.

The only reason why I'm cautiously not bummed with this move is that I assume Belichick is taking absolutely no **** from him, and is making that abundantly clear from the get-go. ....

That approach won't work with AB. He will need to be coddled and exceptions will need to be made for his behavior throughout the season for this to have any chance.
