I can't believe no one's started this yet.

When you see a report that someone has signed with the Pats PS, put it here

According to UptownPF and Doug Kyed

1. Steven Anderson

2. Terrez Hall

3. Tyree St. Louis

That's 3 down and 7 to go

Still need a QB, but I think they have enough WR's ;)

Just a thought that occurred to me. For a team that is STACKED on defense, it looks like Bill is loading up the PS with defensive front 7 players. Curious. ST's protection?

They are a little short at edge with Rivers IR & Calhoun possibly still hurt and they cut all the run stoppers except Shelton.

Good to see Munson there for the time being. He came on pretty well through the preseason, was all over the place. He easily belongs on a lot of team's 53, our defense is frankly loaded top to bottom, outside of your NT/DT type run stuffing monster. DE/OLB: HT, Collins, Bennet, Winovich, Cowhart (sp? And where the hell did this guy come from?). Secomdary is so loaded we traded last years 2nd rd pick for a mive from 7 to 6. And frankly, who in the entire league is talented enough to crack the roster and on a friendly enough deal to warrant the upgrade over Jackson/Jones/Jmac? The d is stacked just about everywhere.

If Calhoun moves to IR and Thomas is resigned, the team will be much lighter on the defensive line and edge positions on the 53 than in previous years. So I think they’re making up for it on the practice squad. Won’t help if someone gets injured mid-game, but if the extra DL or edge guy wasn’t on the game day 46, there’s effectively no difference.

There are 11 spots and he has 5 front 7 players. Not out of whack but probably more a quality of player issue than a need.

I guess you are counting Johnson as #11

Funny that he hasn't signed with us yet. Do you think he is thinking about going to someone else's PS. You'd think he'd stay. Few teams run with FB's who get significant snaps, and how much longer is Devlin (31) going to be here. This place seemed like a natural fit? Hmmm

Patriots added Nick Thurman to their PS..

If Hoyer doesn't return the Pats are definitely going to add a QB to the PS. My Binky, Kyle Lauletta is going to the Eagles PS. But it will be SOMEONE simply because you need another arm to get through all the practice throws to WR's in individual drills, on the scout team, etc

My guy is gone, so you guess is as good as mine. Maybe an Etling return?
Kid from Harvard hes wicked smart.
Chand Kanoff I believe.

Skipper to PS

Looks like Skipper is back and Johnson took the 11th spot. Still 2 open spots.

Edit: note Green isn’t practicing since he’s coming up from Indy, so I’m assuming the other 2 guys will come from other teams’ camps and no one else from Pats camp is returning. Christian Sam signed with the Dolphins practice squad.

We need a rb (Brosette), wr (Patterson) and a qb (woodside)

Do we put Calhoun and Harry on returnable ir and bring in wr Thomas and another defensive end.

Honestly, no! What did I say? (And who the heck is Gerri Green? :D)

You said that thanks to including him on my official draft contest list, we would be doomed to drafting Gerri Green. I can't seem to find the post now, which makes me think you removed it when you were cleaning up the contest thread so you could only see submissions instead of our pre-draft banter. I just remember hoping we'd taking him so I could tease you. :D

Green is an athletic DE/OLB/ILB who didn't quite put things together in college, but showed flashes of versatility in coverage and as a blitzer. I thought he'd be an ideal Hightower backup.

EDIT: I made a gif of one of my absolute favorite plays from him. Even @captain stone might like his potential in space. Or not (that's more likely). Only so many guys 6'4+ who run 4.6.
