Texans ARE DUMB - Trade for Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills

It's the worst football trade since Herschel Walker.

Damn, Now Miami has how many picks the next two years ? This is crazy , if they get 2 1st rounds next year they could make some serious noise in the division ….
They need a lot more than a few draft picks.
But, going with your logic, it would mean, since everyone gets a 1st round pick, they are 1 good rookie away from making serious noise.
I think you could have given them 5 first rounders this year and they would still be a below average team.

Two 1st’s and 2nd for Tunsil? That’s bats.t crazy.

Stills was looking at getting cut.
I meant in regards to not trading up to make sure they got Andre Dillard. Dillard would have been ok for them? How's he doing in philly?

Wasn't the Texans who reached for 2 OL in the draft?

Flores that’s one hell of a trade.. I could see them going OT this years draft as a replacement for Tunsil.. I can’t see Caserio going to the Texans anymore, they have no draft capital for two years really.. unless they trade JJ?

Yeah they took howard with the 23rd pick when most boards and teams had him around the 2nd round to 4th round

They got rid of both Tunsil and Stills...will this be the year the Patriots get the W in Miami?

yes

and to have any chance this year, he needed a top LT to protect his QB, plus a RB plus a WR.

He secured this for 2 firsts and a second. Obviously, Miami got a great deal, but Houston had little choice. Well, I suppose they could have gotten an OT from WASH.

HOU's handling of Clowney was truly ridiculous. He should have been traded before the draft, or at very least before the date when his contract could be extended. Yes, and the team should have given Clowney the ability to find a deal or two.

This has to be BOB's last year...unless they can produce. He really hasn't done much there.

They could have traded up one spot I think, for Dillard. Basically the only guy you take that early, 1st Rd pick for me graded at 8.53. They took Howard who like @Snooky97 said most had between 2-4, I had him at in the 3rd at 7.12.

Just bad value from this amateurs opinion.

Conversely we got Winovich in the 3rd, I had him at 8.14 for a 2nd.
Stidham in the 4th, I had a 3rd on him.
Had a 3rd on Harris, top 5 RB for me.
8.35 for Harry, just missing the 1st. Had a high 3rd on Williams too.

So in terms of value we did great. Again in my amateur "don't know how to evaluate QBs" opinion :);)

Yup. The GM and coach threw away a 1st in the hope of being competitive this year and next, and keeping the coach's job.

Houston added players and made their team better. They just paid a ridiculous price to do it.
If they got tunsil for a 1 then picked up still when he got cut, or threw in a 4, it was a good move. It’s still a good 2019 move but it kills them in the future.
They basically donated a first round pick to charity.

bill obrien is desperate. The seat is getting hot and he knows it.
Exactly. They went full Billy Beanes. Which I'm actually a fan of. You just NEVER go FULL Billy B.

Basically Beane doesnt care what he gives up. It's what his lineup/product on the field looks like.

You might give up something you dont want to but if you're better that's all that matters.

Generally I'm w it but Houston gave up too much. That said Tunsil is actually a very good player & exactly what they need.

Conversely Miami's OL is now a complete joke. You cant feed Rosen to that situation.

Expect the fins in the lottery this year.

Got some link or info on this? I missed a lot of **** other teams did that was swept under the carpet during that time.

Yeah, I think that's actually the NFL* "green light" event that resulted in the 07 slanderfest.

Tale of the tapes: NFL says Dolphins did no wrong

2006 vintage:

The incident spawned considerable attention on Tuesday after some Dolphins players suggested to the Palm Beach (Fla.) Post that the team "purchased" tapes of the New England offense that provided audio of quarterback Tom Bradymaking audible and line-blocking calls.

Those players strongly hinted that the tapes were critical in preparing for the game and provided the Dolphins inside information about New England's offensive audible system.

"I've never seen [Brady] so flustered," middle linebacker Zach Thomas said.

Let's hope Chris Greer is as bad at drafting as his dad was..

Hmm, his dad now works for the Texans, is dad doing his kid a solid?

Damn, its been a long time since I thought about Bobby Greer, what a disaster he was. I had no idea his son worked for the Dolphins ! Great, now we need not worry ;)

Point well taken, however having 2 first round picks is a great luxury .

“That’s football” - John Clayton

“Spygate penalties aren’t harsh enough” - John Clayton

LOL... don't get me started. Patriots fans should know what we were dealing with back then - you can say Goodell was motivated in various ways, that's actually speculation. What's not speculation is that the NFL* went batcrap crazy on the Pats after winking and nodding at parallel behavior previously. It was a shock-and-awe attack of targeted enforcement.
