Patriots Cuts

I think Trent Harris could develop to something on the PS
Huh. So could most of us. You really want him to develop into something else.

And there goes Hoyer.

It had to happen if they think Stidham is NFL quality.

Lots of us thought Hoyer might be cut and brought back after a guy was placed on IR. We'll have to see.

I’m not sure where I stand on Stidham but he sure has some fans in the NFL community. Impressive winning the backup job.

Hoyer cut. I don't like this needless gamble. But, obviously, it's not my call.

I wouldn't say it's necessarily won yet. If Hoyer isn't back within the week, Stidham won the job.

I hope that's the case.

If you're using SB victories as a decider for who to keep on your 53, you're doing it wrong.
Deus, it’s ok that you are sometimes difficult and I get that. You are sharp and witty and sometimes overly pointed. Overall, I enjoy your posts - even when I think you go overboard.

I think you are smart enough to read the essential of what I’m trying to convey : being too attached to players on the bubble that can’t crack the 53 is more emotion than logic. I want SBs. The last two players on the 53 can (and sometimes WILL) help you achieve that goal. But to fall in love with a Gunner, for instance, is not logical. This train has rolled to so many SBs lately it makes very little sense to obsess about cuts on the last day of August.

Hmm... writing was on the wall, I was very sure, I saw some moves today, thought he was safe, then puff.
But I guess this will accelerate Stidham's education and skills, but he needs to stop with the killer Peyton type of passes into the middle of the field. Got to learn quickly from Brady on how to read defenses.

have the colts signed a veteran backup; three were being discussed yesterday

Bye Brian! See you on Tuesday.

Is Croston enough? as I have thought

Or do we need to carry 10 OL's as you seem to considering.
9
5 starters
2 new guys
1 OT 1 IOL
move the last 2 guys if/when the new guys surpass them.

But bottom of the roster players are about development, not SB victories, Farn. And the whole "can't crack the 53" is sort of the point of people hoping that cutting the player is not a mistake, not that the likes of Gunner are destined to be essential parts of future SBs.

Either way, it's not a big deal. I just don't buy into this seemingly increasingly prevalent Patsfans.com "But no SB win with __________, so who cares?" approach.

That was the "Very thin book of Jewish Football players". Back in the day I almost made my way into it. Instead I had to settle for the "Even thinner book of Jewish coaches in the Catholic Conference".

On the other hand, from this thread I'm learning that the "book of Jewish Patsfans posters" is pretty substantial reading. :)

In related news, here's to the Patriots having one of their increasingly scarce 1:00 pm games on the first night of Rosh Hashanah!
