Patriots Cuts

Meyers, Roberts, Froholdt are not going anywhere either
Roberts and Wise have some trade value.

Fro will be ir'd

Meyers deserves to stay

Other teams could look at Munson for their Practice Squad.
That being said, Munson was unemployed for 4 weeks after being cut at the end of TC by the Giants.
Yeah, I have a hard time understanding why he wasn't good enough to even make a practice squad on any of the 32v teams for a month last year, but now he's too good to not be the active roster. Though I suppose people's perceived values can change quickly - the OL we acquired from Baltimore cleared waivers and made it to their PS last year, but now he's worth a late 4th/ early 5th in trade value. Not sure if Munson has done enough to change things that dramatically, but all it takes is one interested team.

Welp, was wrong about Gunner in the end. Not super worried.

That's what they'll be keeping. I'll continue to be shocked if they cut their 1st team camp leader Meyers in receptions & catch rate like others are suggesting.

Same here. Need to develop some young talent at WR.

Bill jumped the gun on the olszewski cut.

My prediction: The following will be waived:
Brian Hoyer
Nick Brossette,
Jakob Johnson
Jakobi Meyers
Hjalte Froholdt
Dan Skipper
James Ferentz
Deatrich Wise
Nick Thurman
Trent Harris
Scooby Wright
Elandon Roberts
Terez Hall
Ken Webster
Obi Melifonwu
Malik Gant
Terrence Brooks
Edit, Hoyer is now off my list. I now believe he is safe.

Why is Johnson on your list? He's a free roster spot on the Practice Squad. (meaning he's automatically on it and doesn't count as 1 of the 10).

You believe the Patriots will eat Brooks Salary? It's like Hoyer's in that it's guaranteed.

The pats could, very well, dump Croston..

How is it that you have them keep Rivers over Wise?

Just a thought that occurred to me. They might surprise everyone by keeping 9 OLmen. ie keeping Crosten so they at least have a week or so to see what they have with the 3 guys they traded for. THEN if they are happy with them, release the 9th guy

Hoyer's contract terms affect a lot. He can simply sit home and collect $1.5M. He could also sign with any team in the league, and have a good bargaining position. He could sign for a million and the patriots would pick up the rest.

Obviously, you’d okay it with the player before doing it. Why would Hoyer, Burkhead or any player with guaranteed money sign to play for any team and risk injury unless they can get paid more than they would sitting on their couch?

No not Gunner.
Real men cried when Gunner was cut

If I'm BB, I'm doing my utmost to trade Burkhead and Roberts. I think the Pats have better players ahead of both of them and needs that need to be addressed elsewhere..

Does this development make Meyers a lock? Jules to return punts again? I really hate using him like that.

It was pointed out that Meyers had been doing punt returns.

Gunner and Munson both played hard and with high energy. I hope they make it back to the PS.

Scooby plays with a lot of intensity too. Don’t think he’ll make the 53 but could help out on STs.

Just a reminder. The Roster of today isn't likely to be the roster of tomorrow.. And I don't mean things like putting Andrews on IR..
