Do people still think Demaryius is a decrepit old man who can’t play any more and should go on IR?
I didn't think he'd be fully healthy by now

@_AndrewCallahan

Demaryius Thomas has 7 catches on 8 targets for 87 yards and 2 TDs.

@ZackCoxNESN

Demaryius Thomas tonight: eight targets, seven catches, 87 yards, two touchdowns. And his one incompletion was the Stidham INT. About as good of a debut as you could ask for.

I'm not using hypothetical numbers for anything but showing the difference in how play and numbers line up.

And I'm sure you're smart enough to have figured that out, so quit being a ****.

You’re knocking a 4th round draft pick who has played well enough to put himself in the discussion for backup QB against a seasoned veteran backup in Hoyer. Like I said I’m not being a **** I just think you are being negative about a player that has been a positive development.

Stidham underthrew DT. Two takeaways tonight:

1. DT earned his spot with authority, though my guess is he was going to make it regardless of tonight. Love how he looks!

2. Hoyer was always going to make the team just based on Stidham’s play tonight and that Hoyer hasn’t played the last two games. It’s just about giving the rookie more reps.

That comeback route was huge- shows he can still stop on a dime, despite the achilles surgery. We may have a steal in him.
I quickly added him to my bench on my fantasy team. ;)

Crossen!

I'm not being negative. I'm just not blowing the kid the way some others here are doing. This isn't about keeping a smile on a player's face, or making silly posters feel better about a binky. This is about whether or not the kid is ready to be the QB2.

Crossen.. nice way to bounce back after an awful start.

Try to learn and understand how OL play or lack thereof affects the QB and running game....we should start there! ;)
Relax dude, I'm just messing around. I'm just happy to see DT looking good out there.

I asked this question a few days back, and I think tonight has people's minds a bit more ready for it. It's a serious question, not an attempt at humor:

Edelman
Gordon
Thomas
Dorsett
Harry/Meyer

If the Patriots go 5 WR is like that, and the players are playing at a level which can be reasonably expected, which NFL teams have the DBs to cover that?
Harry or Meyers as the fifth WR is nasty. What a mismatch that would end up being. Not to mention the fact that most of the other WRs listed can make their own openings.

FINALLY. CROSSEN

Looks like Crossen's made the team

Even with 4 of those guys with White coming out of the backfield is a great receiving group.

Good footwork.

Yeah, if this group pans out at the higher end of possibilities, and the TEs are as bad as we all worry they might be, we could see BB/TB/JMcD making some interesting changes to the play calling.

Lose your all world TE to retirement? Build a dominant receiver corps, instead! Took a while to round into shape but they look goooood.
