Andrew Luck Retires from NFL

Luck is running away from this putrid franchise w a smile on his face.

They managed to go from Manning to Luck with one of the most blatantly obvious “throwing an entire season” for the sake of of picking first overall. Payback time.
Payback by them picking first again next year?

Well wow. I guess those injuries really took their toll.

Frankly I don't blame him. The Colts will probably never win a championship even if he stays healthy and with his injury history his HOF chances are no better than Rivers and likely much worse if he doesn't win. When your professional prospects look that bad; added in with the health concerns you currently have as well as future ones; do you really want to do this for 10 more years?

If Grigson hadn't run that team into the ground, and if the Colts' coaching staffs had drilled the notion of living to fight another day into Luck's head, we'd probably have been looking at the Colts as the Patriots main AFC rival over the past few years. Instead, we get Luck walking off before age 30.

Long travailoa for Tagovailoa?

Payback would be secret agent Double-Oh Brissett leading them to 8-8 before leaving after the season for a fat paycheck somewhere else.
If Brissett does well this year the Colts will be in the tough position of having to decide whether to pay him like a starter or let him walk.

I think Rivers is very close, maybe not first ballot but I definitely think he makes it.

Luck was placed in a terrible situation imo. I mean their just now figuring out that OL & turning the corner. They let him take a beating needlessly imo. Esp when they already knew how banged up he was.

I thought he had HOF potential & was a vg QB playing behind the 8ball (no pun intended) most of his career.

I am rooting for Jacoby. I want Colts to miss playoffs, but do well enough to get payed.

Bad GM .... bad OL .... built a team revolving around the intermediate pass.

I wish Andrew Luck a healthy life ... but screw the Colts ... they are Jete level.

Young QB's coming to the NFL - there's no future in being a QB/RB.

Tank for Tua/Trevor

Seriously though this team needs to go 8-8 forever. Their fans & frankly some in the organization are just that bad.

Booing a guy under 30 that took a needless beating for years. They should be protesting outside of Lucas Oil rn for a change in ownership

I seen this pop up on my TL on Twitter,Instagram and Facebook! I legitimately thought it was a joke at first. I loathe the Colts! I still feel a somewhat bad for Luck due to him retiring before the age of 30. I always thought he'll reign supreme in the AFC after Brady retired! Now it's looking like it could be Mahomes if he keeps his head on straight!

Brisett is perfect from our POV, just good enough to keep them from tanking but not good enough to make them a serious contender

The Colts are going to bench him though and play Nate Peterman's younger brother. Never forget that they played Curtis Painter the entire year, and once they locked up Luck, they brought in Orlovsky who won the last 2 games for them, one against a playoff hopeful. While Orlovsky was never good, he was a career backup who played more than a decade in the NFL. As for Painter, he never played football again after Orlovsky replaced him.

This team knows how to tank. They will just bench Brisset if he's too good.

I admit I did think that Luck was going to break all the passing yards records.
