An adult doing something that isn't hurting someone else? Yeah I'm gonna defend that.

Get your head out of the backwards war on drugs nonsense.

What do you think they call it dope for........Wait, so the dealers who sold him or? the dope aren't hurting anybody? P..lease!

You obviously have never had a family member or friend who uses?......Not hurting anyone else? Did you just say that? That is a fantasy Cousin. I would have no problem with lifetime incarceration Bernie.

...... and a LOT less in the playoffs. Granted he's nice to have, but is he "necessary", or a key part that a combination of Obi/Brooks/Dawson/Jones couldn't replace him?

Wrong, but everything else you're saying is too so why let that stop you.

Based upon what? How can someone be the “likely ROY” before taking a single regular season snap? Are you that impressed with his four carries this preseason? I would have given you a pass on Barkley last year because he was clearly head and shoulders above any other back in the draft, based upon his college production, freakish athleticism and 3 down versatility but Jacobs is not a Barkley level talent. Some would argue that he wasn’t even the best back on his team over the past two years.

Rivals.com - Ask Farrell: Who will be better pro, Josh Jacobs or Damien Harris?

Not trying to go on a thread tangent but I think you’re putting the cart way before the horse.
The original comment you made was that we could trade for Josh Jacobs using minimal draft compensation. That take is pathetic. Josh Jacobs has looked excellent so far in camp, had virtually every NFL team consider him a top tier talent, and yes, he is the frontrunner for ROY based on his share in that offense and the opportunities he will receives.

Bulkhead to the Texans has to be appealing to BOB about now. Especially when you consider the Luck announcement.

You are certainly entitled to your dope opinion.

My heroin addict relative is into me for about $1400 before I saw the writing on the wall and stopped letting him take advantage of me.

But in the same way that I don't support banning guns because some people are bad/irresponsible with them I also don't support vilifying all drug users and preventing grown ass adults from putting a substance in their body because some other adults are bad with it.

That you think the word 'dope' in and of itself is some sort of debate masterstroke just goes to show you're not putting in enough effort in researching this topic to be worth the time to discuss it with.

For the record I used to fully support drug prohibition and stiff penalties for drug use. Then I ran into this thing called facts.

Can you elaborate on this, please? What do you mean by “lifetime incarceration Bernie?” Just curious.

Hoyer for a 6th rounder
Unless we’re looking solely at saving a roster spot, I don’t think that this would be anything close to a smart move for NE.

Stidham has shown more promise than most NFL rookie QBs, so that’s something to build on moving forward, but I think he would get murdered out there due to his tendency to hold the ball too long, as well as his limited knowledge of the playbook. He should be much more settled in after next summer.

Hoyer may not be anything special, but he’s cheap, he knows the playbook and the system, and it’s better to have an actual backup QB than yet another 6th round pick.

Stidham has more raw talent but Hoyer knows the playbook inside and out. I would honestly be fine with 3 QBs but having that extra roster spot AND an extra 6th round pick would be nice. I dont think it would be an absolute disaster if Stidham had to play a down or two but I dont see that happening. Hoyer is not the future and you cannot rely on him to win games, with that being said, There is alot of unknowns with Stidham. You never know and anything could happen but Brady has been pretty good at avoiding major injuries. Plus we still have a decent O line.

Can someone give a list of possible tight end trade targets?
Ebron
Doyle
Gesicki
Mo Alie-Cox
Brate
Jonnu Smith
DeValve
Darren Waller
Parham
Higbee
...running out of options. Quite honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if BB is done (trading for) with the TE position, at least for now. It’s not as if he hasn’t been trying.

Someone remind me: did Dwayne Allen catch many balls in preseason games? I don’t remember.

The TEs on the roster this year are catching some balls. Maybe it’s good enough?

Gesicki is not a trade target. They JUST used a 2nd round pick on him last year, and he’s a great TE prospect. Stupid to have him on the list. Brate would be a good one. And if we are gonna trade Hoyer, possibly to Indy, I like Ross Travis. Though it would probably be Ross Travis + a pick, since we’d have leverage in that trade. Parham is a guy I liked, but it doesn’t seem like Belichick cared for him.
