Edelman & D. Thomas back at practice; Gordon in warmups

Thomas coming back could change the dynamic of my predicted 53 for sure. But I'll want to see how he looks coming off of that injury first. Still, great news since it sounds like we'll find out soon!

Thomas’ contract always made it very clear that he had no intention of missing 6 games. Now we’ll have to see if he’s recovered enough to hit the 60 catch and 800 yard incentives.

Nothing is for sure, but if taking a minute to put the fantasy land/best case scenario glasses on for a second.. Imagine a healthy and fully integrated WR group of Edelman, Gordon, Thomas, and Harry?
Damn.

Don’t forget Meyers. I think the kid’s legit.

Last year top 4: Edelman, Hogan, Dorsett, Patterson, with Jules out for the first 4 games.

This year potential top 4: Edelman (1 yr removed from injury), Gordon (healthier and more knowledgable about the playbook), Thomas, and keep at least 2 of Harry/Dorsett/Myers/Harris

With the weak TE position,

Edelman
Gordon
Thomas
Dorsett
Harry
Meyers

is still on track, IMO, though BB will obviously have to decide whether or not to carry that many WRs. Does anyone here (other than Patsfan2, who'd insist to all of us that the 3 month old infant with no limbs was ahead of Dorsett on his depth chart) think Harris or Berrios will beat out anyone on the above list?

Harris wont beat out Myers IMO. They should just leave DT on the PUP. They have plenty of bodies right now.

Yeah even if he isn’t the complete stud he’s been, and he’s somewhere down a few rungs..got to believe that he’d still make some things happen here and there lining up as a 3rd or 4th option against some of the pedestrian backup CBs in nickel/dime packages. That’s really all that anyone could ask for assuming things look good elsewhere at WR.

I think even when healthy, Harris' best shot was beating out the rookies (other than Harry) and Thomas/Gordon remaining unavailable (or at least one of them). Now, with his injury, I just don't see his path being clear.
