If his motor is half of Keuchly's then we are in for an amazing run with him...When I've seen Carolina play in person, Keuchly stood out more than anyone for that. The guy is different level. His motor reminds me of Luke Kuechly.
Yes, he is. One of my best friends lives in Charlotte and I remember the day after the draft when Carolina took him he called me and asked what I knew about Keuchly. After having watched him at BC I knew he was special and told my buddy they were going to love Keuchly. I really like Winovich and his game thus far reminds me somewhat of Bruschi's, but it's too early for any genuine comparisons with those guys, in my opinion. If his motor is half of Keuchly's then we are in for an amazing run with him...When I've seen Carolina play in person, Keuchly stood out more than anyone for that. They’ve been (understandably) obsessing over the Pats for 20 years, he’s been in the league (and a NY coach) longer than that and so many still can’t spell Belichick’s name right. I’d say it was intentional but I just don’t think they know.
No, but his helmetless poster will be on more teenage girls walls than any other rookie.
Can we wait until he plays a down in a real game?
Also some players on other teams will be on the field as a starter and play most of that teams defensive snaps. Chase will be eased in
In college Gary had a bad habit of getting frustrated and emotional. It was often Winovich who got him to hit the reset button and get his head back in the game.Interesting. Doesn't Houston have o-line problems?
Luke was a special player at BC...carried it over to the NFL......Wino seems to have that same motor and personality......Hoping he continues to grow in the Patriots system...If his motor is half of Keuchly's then we are in for an amazing run with him...When I've seen Carolina play in person, Keuchly stood out more than anyone for that. Despite being the 77th pick, Winovich currently has the 10th best odds to win DROY on Bovada. He's behind 9 first round picks (8 in the top 10).
As a homer I get sucked in the excitement of upside yearly but if:
The defense would be an absolute curtain at all 3 levels
- Shelton somehow pulled his head out of his ass (looks good so far)
- Winovich plays like a DROY contender
- JC Jackson continues to progress
Very excited abt this D too.
