JOSH GORDON REINSTATED

In the two Belichick decades, name one WR who came in during the season, learned a new system and did what Gordon did on the field last year.

What he did was unmatched during the BB era.

.
Also, name the wr with great talent who came in during the season and didn’t do what Gordon did.
You set a silly criteria.

If we never briught in a good WR during the season then whatever the one we bring in does is excellent.
Gordon wasn’t excellent. He was ok. He wasn’t special, dominant or game changing.

.......If Gronk was still here I feel like this team could practically punch their ticket. Without him it's hard to ignore the Chiefs, but I would not be the least bit surprised to see Brady hoisting another trophy (probably in part because of the 4-TE offense BB will roll out in January when no one is looking).:D

Yes, they do lose alot with no Gronk. However, this Defense in 2019 looks to be a monster.

I am not worried about our secondary facing Mahomes and that offense this year. I think BB has them loaded up and ready. Honestly, I think KC's offense has to be more worried about New England's defense than vice versa.

I think BB has checkmated them this year..

.
.

Who knows if that is true. He should have felt last year was his last chance. As long as you have game, you think someone will give you a shot.

Someone will give him a shot, I'm sure, but there is NO team out there that will remain as patient as the Pats, and no team out there that will have a better system and situation in place to support him. He might latch on somewhere, but no way he does better somewhere else than he will here.

Nobody on here should worry about her Chiefs. They don’t have any threat in that running game and their defense is arguably worse. Meanwhile, the Pats have a ground game, score enough points to hang with them and a defense that can match up with them.

You may be right, and it's hard not to imagine some regression from Mahomes. As long as Andy Reid mans the helm I can't take them too seriously, but they do have a lot of talent and made a pretty good push to get back into the AFCCG last year. I won't underestimate them.

Yeah, don’t worry about a team that took us to OT in the AFCCG, and we were able to beat with the aid in part of a timely offside penalty and a favorable coin flip. Won’t worry about them at all.

Longgggggg day at work. Just got off and heard the news on the way home. Made my day and hoping for the best for him. Excited to see him get back to work as well.

You are talking about Gordon mentoring Harry. It’s silly to think that results in learning a skill and ignoring all attitudes.
Yea you're right. I will be more mindful of this when I am teaching someone how to shoot a handgun, so they don't pick up my addiction to scratching my nuts and sniffing my fingers.

The ghost of Marty Schottenheimer still reigns over the Chiefs

Speechless. That's not serious. Moss got to study the playbook and acclimate himself with the coaches for several months before the season. He got to Foxboro in APRIL of 2007.

You really gonna compare that with Gordon coming in mid-September???????

That's a ridiculous comparison.

I don’t know Andy Coming into the most difficult offense in the nfl in week 3 and at that point over 2 months behind all the other players and performing on pace for a 1000 yard season consistently - considering he is a head case - To me, That is excellent

By week 6, 8 or so Gordon would have caught up to that.

I’m not saying he sucked I’m saying he wasn’t a stud and coming in week 2 isn’t really a valid excuse to me.

Moss missed all of camp. It’s not that much different.
Not to seem like I'm picking arguments with you but ...and correct me if I'm wrong (lol no need to say) but wasn't Moss's main job just to blow the top off the defense? How complex were his offensive responsibilities, due to just his freak combination of talent, speed, and athleticism compared to today's offense? This isn't to say "Moss was dumber" I just don't think that the two WRs skillsets are close enough to compare learning curves fairly

That would be true had they not given Moss a playbook until September.
You think after a month Gordon didn’t know the playbook?

So the argument is Gordon never learned the playbook?
