JOSH GORDON REINSTATED

If Harry pans out and gives the team a big bodied target who can high point it in the red zone, they don’t need to rely on Gordon as much this year as they did last season. That just makes Gordon a bonus and anything they get out of him before the next suspension is essentially the Patriots playing with house money. If the next suspension doesn’t come either right before before or during the playoffs? Even better.

Hmmmmm........maybe the next Patsfans.com meme becomes "Can he return punts?"

I'm not sure mental illness qualifies as a checkered past. Maybe it does maybe it does not I'm just not sure.
As far as the Pats are concerned, it affects his availability. Which is what they need and want. It may be a disease, but it still is a disease about making choices - good ones or bad ones. If he wants to play football, he has to make good ones.

The problem is do many are infatuated with Gordon for his 1600 yard season. That was so many yrs ago. We act like he still has elite speed. Last yr the excuse was the hammy. I hope I'm wrong. People want him to be Randy Moss and he's more like Brandon Lafell at this point.

Please look at:

This was already posted *somewhere* but it is worth posting again:
Lions’ Brandon Powell: Training partner Josh Gordon ‘dusts everybody’

Incorrect... Half of it is up to Josh. Bb can wish all this to be successful but if Josh doesn't do his part it ain't going to work
The given in the equation is Josh is doing his job

I just want the dude to be happy in life......I’m afraid for him as it is really hard to find peace from the things that follow him around

I’ve seen so many consumed by the voices in their heads......please let him find peace even if he just watches from the sideline

Steeler fans must be so happy.

C'mon - - he came into a new system completely cold and, in short order, learned it on the fly and became a trusted weapon for Brady. He's now been studying the route tree for almost a year and will now have 3 weeks of preseason prep to polish it all up.

He's not Randy (no one is - not even Antonio Brown or Julio Jones) but he is nowhere near Brandon Lafell either. Let's keep it in proper perspective.

Nah this isn't a cesspool, the old political forum, now That Was a Cesspool. I used to bathe in it often. Disgusting, i had to take a shower after. :(
Yeah but it was funny with Harry Boy and some of the other 'eclectic types.....

Not sure why anyone would have an issue with this, it’s a bonus.

In all seriousness, Gordon, Thomas, Harry and Edelman is almost too many studs for too few balls. Would be nice to have a TE who can really block or a LT. There are question marks there, but if everything goes are way, we have too many riches at WR. And yet, without Edelman, that group is much less imposing.

That's true about every WR group in the NFL. With Edelman, much more imposing than without.

He closer to mid 2000 moss than Brandon lafell any time in his career

By the way, it cannot be a bad thing for young Mr. Harry to get to watch and learn technique from Josh Gordon.

From all reports, much has been given to Josh by the Patriots in terms of getting him help and standing by him and those reports have claimed he is very grateful for that. I'm interested to see if he takes N'Keal under his wing a bit.

Not sure Gordon is the role model I’d want a rookie to bond to.

We will see. No one knows where Thomas stands. Moss didn’t practice at all in camp in 2007.

Yes, but Moss wasn't coming off an Achilles tear just eight months earlier.

Technique-wise. Everyone has said Gordon is a great teammate and obsessive about training and fundamentals. He learned the route tree on the run last year faster than almost anyone I've ever seen midseason. The only person I've seen come close to that was Jabbar Gaffney.

I wasn't talking about clubbing..........

Exaggeration aside he does have a point.
Gordon of 2013 is 6 years removed and in the 5 subsequent years he still hasn’t totaled the catches yards or TDs he had in that single season.
Gordon 2018 did not look like Gordon 2013 on the field.
Perhaps the reasons you list explain some of it but Gordon hasn’t been a dominant stud WR for 6 years. Last year he had no games with more than 5 catches and only 2 100 yard games. He was a nice piece but by no means was he a game changer, top tier WR last year.

Don't care about the likelihood of a suspension, only care that this guy is as physically talented a WR as we've ever had in a jersey, that he's clearly found a family here, and he already has like half a season of time learning this offense. He's going to own and if he gets suspended again well, that's that, but I'm not gonna fret about it I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of what he's going to do for our team when he lines up.

A person is a person you get the good work the bad.
Life doesnt work by saying bond with joe but only learn his good things.
