Man Titans fans are really sold on Marioata, I just don’t get it. Apparently there’s rumblings Tannehill may win the job. Am I missing something on Marioata..? I’d have cut him and not paid the 21 mill if he won’t take a pay cut down to at least 10.

Not the ones I work with. They think he’s pretty average and holding their wr core back.

I just read a post on Titans reddit looking to extend him now . There's Titans fans that think the guy is worth 30 a year. Hard pass for me. I don't know if Dak is worth 30 a year and he's a much better player than Mariota.

Mariota is in a contract year if I was Vrabel before I commit He would have to show durability and effectiveness which might be a tall order for him. Tanny is not Mr Durability himself but is clearly a better QB than Marcus and would prove better for their passing game.

Hard pass from me as well. He needs to prove he can hold up a full season which to this point he hasn’t.

Of the 20 players from the 2015 first round that had their fifth year options picked up, at least half are being badly overpaid on guaranteed contracts right now. It’s a league-wide phenomenon.

Even when he is healthy, he’s not exactly lighting the world on fire. Tough kid tho, respect how hard he plays.

Injuries this decade has cost this team 4 SB titles,

2011 (Gronk)
2012 (Gronk)
2015 (Everyone)
2017 (Edelman/Hightower, with either or we win)

If not for injuries we would have 10 titles and it's not far fetched, with healthy Gronk we beat Giants in 2011, with healthy Gronk we beat Ravens in 2012 and 49ers in SB imo. A healthy team in '15 we Cleary beat Broncos and Panthers and with a healthy team in 2017 we Cleary beat the Eagles.

Love your enthusiasm but holy **** 10 titles? That might be the biggest homer take I’ve ever seen. Every team battles injuries and give credit to some of the other great teams that have beaten us

Plus Gronk being injury prone is part of the package. Not like he had one fluky injury.

2001 Rams Healthy
2003 Panthers Healthy
2004 Eagles Healthy
2014 Seahawks Healthy
2016 Falcons Healthy
2018 Rams Healthy besides Gurley but they weren't a Gurley away from winning.
The Rams lost their starting QB in the preseason. They lost their first round pick and starting DT Damione Lewis midway though the year. They lost safety Matt Bowen who the year prior was voted team rookie of the year. They lost the corner they drafted in the second round the year before to a hamstring injury.

The Panthers lost veteran LB Mike Caldwell. They had another LB Mark Fields diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease. They lost veteran D lineman Kavika Pittman. They lost a TE they took in the third round late in the year. They lost a part time starting tackle.

The Seahawks finished the year with 17 players on IR including a special teams captain, crucial interior D-lineman Brandon Mebane, starting receiver and second round pick WR, and former Pro Bowl TE Zach Miller.

The Falcons lost old friend Adrian Clayborn in the playoffs, DE Derrick Shelby, starting corner and Pro Bowler Desmond Trufant, veteran LB and former first round pick Sean Weatherspoon, a part time starting safety and 5 others to IR.

The Rams you claim "weren't a Gurley away from winning". The same Gurley who lead the league with 17 TDs and averaged just under 5 ypc when healthy last year. Something tells me if there was nothing wrong with him the Rams offense may have looked slightly different. To think otherwise is beyond homerism. They also lost a solid backup RB in Malcolm Brown and starting slot receiver Cooper Kupp.

The homerism in your post is just astounding. "The Patriots would have won every game they ever played if everyone was healthy" while at the same time completely neglecting the other teams injuries.

Not to mention their slot corner (Lane?) early in the game, who not only picked off Brady in the red zone, but his absence seemed to coincide with Edelman starting to have MUCH better looks out there. May not have made the difference ultimately, but was certainly notable. They started attacking his replacement almost immediately.

LOL at those who disagreed with this Truth.

Were there other reasons why we lost those years? Yes, including poor personnel & coaching decisions, and poor officiating; but to discount the injuries in 2011 & 2012 to Gronk, in 2015 to multiple players, and in 2017 to Edelman & especially Hightower is short-sighted & condescending.

Exactly we all seen SB46 close game with a banged up Gronk what does common sense tell you, healthy Gronk = title.

2012
AFCCG you mean to tell me with a healthy Gronk we don't beat Ravens and we don't beat the 49ers in the Super bowl?

2015 10-0 when full healthy go figure, lost by 2 points in the AFCCG regardless so with a unusual injury riddled team we still lost by 2 points yea please and we don't beat Cam Newton in the Super Bowl yes please.

2017 My fu*king god Edelman or Hightower we win SB52 hell I even argue that JJ alone could of changed the out come now both or all 3 not even fu*king close even with Wentz.

If we are healthy this year we are looking at one of the more dominant Patriot SB teams if the '19 squad stays onboard, our defense is filthy when it comes to talent got talent all across the board and oh wow we finally have WRs other then Edelman, Harry/Meyers and if we get Gordon cancel the season it should be illegal for us to get Gordon cause that's how unfare it's gonna be if we get him back.

N'Keal is fu*king nasty as is Meyers and we have Edelman and our run game so go figure.

Pop the champagne bottles it's gonna be a fun season. Let's fu*king get 7!

Not really

Reality

If all teams were completely healthy during the balance of seasons 2001-2018.............

We have more than 6 Super Bowls

Actually we would most likely be looking for "The One for the Big Toe"

Frankly, has we kept 2 TEGronk/Hernandez healthy.....I don't see us NOT winning the Super Bowl.

There still isn't a defense now or imagined that could stop that.

We have no way of knowing that, or even any reason to believe it would be the case outside of maybe 2008 and 2015.

But it's not short-sighted & condescending to proclaim all 6 opponents of our Super Bowl wins as healthy outside of Todd Gurley and that we ABSOLUTELY would have won in those 4 other seasons if not for ours?

Let's not pretend that our roster would be exactly the same every season, down to the last player, if we had just won our 10th Super Bowl. Would Gronk have even played last season if he had just won his 4th title in 2017? I could easily see him retiring after that.

If not for defensive breakdowns we still would have 07-11-17, that stuff evens out.

Groningen was open in end zone, pass underthrown intercepted
