How's Bailey vs Allen looking? I just read that Bailey does kickoffs as well, news to me. Wonder if we'd want him to kickoff instead of Gost.

I don't think he will ever be Sherman as Sherman was just more athletic but in the redzone vs big WRs with jump balls in the corner he can be a monster.

Hmm, I don't know about that. Numbers are extremely close across the board, except Williams weighed 16 pounds heavier for the testing.

Maybe Inman is getting a chance to show what he can do , when a few players are rested with minor injuries ?

Think we will get a good taste of what Inman/Berrios can do so in Saturday's game ?

Can someone please answer this question: as of today, why do you have any faith at all in Josh Gordon or Demaryius Thomas? Until they suit up, they are non factors.

Lets not get too carried with the Dorsett deep separation stuff we ain't talking about Brandin Cooks here.

Wow. Apples and Oranges there.

Dorsett is a #5 WR and a $2.6 million cap hit to the Patriots.

Cooks was a #1 or #2 and is currently a $15 million+ cap hit to the Rams.

Let's keep a non-Fantasy Football perspective. Dorsett offers a different set of tools than slot Edelman and the three bigs. BB is famous for saying he is building a team, not a list of talents.

Did we ever find out why Collins was absent yesterday? Never received an update IIRC.

Glad he's out there today.
Probably freelancing around the facility :D

Idk why the hell posters here were saying that DT would be retired by Week 1

A healthy Thomas would be a better option than Gordon
Lol What? Thomas is done. Hi stats have been steadily declining over the last few years, he is 31 and he is coming off a major injury. While Gordon was definitely not 2013 Gordon last year, he was solid down the stretch. On top of that he already has a year in the offense and worked with Brady. I don't even think the two are close.

I don't know when Thomas will be ready. However, I see now reason to keep him out for 8 weeks. We need him to be in such with Brady. That takes time, and that should begin as soon as he is healthy, not after 8 weeks.
======
The reality is that we only need to have 4 active WR's. We should have 4 on the 53 plus Thomas and Slater. Thomas would be inactive while he recovers.

Another way to look at it is that with Thomas coming back, we will not need 5 additional WR's on the roster.

ONE MAN IS OUT (we all have our choices; some would even give Berrios one of the spots)
Harris, Dorsett, Myers
====
As an aside the #4 WR (#5 when Thomas is ready) will get little playing time unless there is an injury, or two.

That may have been true back when we actually had TE's......

.

I think we can sacrifice the 53rd pkayer in the roster for our WR2

If the Ghost of Demarius Thomas is our #2 WR, going into this season the Pats are in deep trouble. I'd be happy with him being our 4 or 5 down the stretch after T-giving.

I don't see him as "done" like 203pats does above, in fact he could turn out to be some very important late season depth injection.

Thomas certainly hasn't been good as last season Gordon in a few years..

Dorsett and Cooks both ran a 4.33 at the NFL Combine - that is a computer time so it is reliable. Cook's 3Cone was 6.76 while Dorsett's was 6.70. Cooks might be an overall better receiver, but running a deep route I see little difference and the testing numbers confirm. Why do you think there is a big difference in separation? Dorsett is a great human being, a great teammate, signed a team friendly deal and "is what he is". Why the hate?

I agree.

Your heart is ready to receive the truth of Inman.

Sorry I must have misinterpreted your previous post.

Based on all camp reports and the pre-season game in Detroit, here's my WR depth chart guess for week 1:

WR1: Edelman (No question)
WR2: Meyers (Consistently best player in camp and AVAILABLE)
WR3: Harry (High draft pick, could be #2 WR after a few weeks)
WR4: Harris (Has size the same as Meyers/Harry/Gordon/Thomas)
WR5: Dorsett (Has speed and 1.5 years of experience in our system as well as Brady's trust)
WR6: Slater (Ace gunner)

PUP/Suspended: Thomas (if he is 75% of the Thomas of old...I think we make room for him later), Gordon (Who knows when he'll be back, not even sure we will make room for him this year), and Meredith (doesn't even sound healthy enough to even practice for 6-8 weeks anyway).

Cut: Inman, Berrios, Olszewski, Patterson, and Davis.

Resign to PS (if possible): Olszewski (multi-position and perfect for scout team) and Berrios (PR potential).
