Stidham showing some of the tendencies I was concerned about in college. It's not just the ball placement, but the slow reads and tendency to give up on plays too early. He's 2 - 3 years off from starting, in my opinion. That said, when he does have time to throw and he makes the right read, the pass looks really smooth. There's considerable upside there in the future.

It's the first preseason game, lol.

You could very be right but the kid just had his first 3 series of live NFL speed.

Already know the secondary is stacked.
LB appears to be stacked by adding Bentley / Collins
DL looks promising.

Cannot wait to see this defense in november - january (barring alot of injuries)

Not a single starter is playing, it's the first preseason game, and the 3rd string QB is currently playing.

Really don't see how anyone could reach the conclusion that they're "trending down".

They're not playing well at this particular moment, and that's about the extent of the conclusions that can be drawn right now, IMO.

I'm noticing a lot of errors, bad forms, and lack of consistency. Nobody has dominated so far, and Skipper is average. That's not going to work against first string defenses, never mind elite defenses.

Anyone noticed Gostkowski's jersey is spelled wrong?

Taking a quick peak at the game before I head back to work and wow..

Collins controlling gaps? Manhandling OL guys?

I don't want to say any more and jinx the whole season or something.

So they have things to work on.

With Bryan Hoyer playing well and the prime heir ready to take over, do we really neeeeed Brady?

Brady saw the writing on the wall - that's why he sold his house.

Poor Steve is cringeworthy. Terrible reporter

Great half couldn’t ask for more. D shut down lions O. Offense moved the ball, Harry made a couple nice athletic grabs, Meyers making it look easy. Berrios showing some return skills. STUDham making some nice throws. Very happy!

A lot of receivers would jump and catch that. Meyers just snagged that out of the air with his hands barely breaking stride.

Having only watched the Detroit broadcast I'm going to go ahead and guess that I'm getting more discussion about the Patriots and the actual on the field stuff than those of you watching the Pats' broadcast. I haven't hated these guys at all and they've talked quite a bit about our team because well, we've been preseason owning.

So they have things to work on.

They keep getting bailed out by a horrendous Detroit secondary. Duck shooting gallery today for Hoyer and Stidham.

So many young WRs bobble the ball and double-catch or look not confident. Meyers has flypaper hands though. Thwack... secure. Harry the same. Joy to watch vs. any competition
