JOSH GORDON REINSTATED

A sober Gordon would be a beautiful thing both for him personally/professionally and for the Team/Fans.

I am ironically enough counting on the rookies more than I am DT, just have no faith in that guy...but the IF factor does play a roll in the glass is half full scenario. A WR corps of Jules, Gordon, (a productive) Thomas, Harris, Harry, (most likely) Jakobi Meyers and Dorsett. is one hell of a WR corps. Match that with the ridiculous running game and a functional TE group and this offense would be sick. But I have little hope Thomas has anything in left in the tank and even less that Gordon is reinstated.

Considering Goodell has “sole discretion” on this topic, I wouldn’t count on JG being back before he can get into a movie theater at a discounted rate.

Josh has said publically that him and Goodell have a good relationship and he's thanked him many times.
That's the hope that Roger really feels for him.

Lets see Goody Patriot suspensions...Brady suspended Four Games NFL MVP. Edelman suspended Four Games SB MVP. Knowing the kind of person we are dealing with I wouldn't be against Gordon serving some type of suspension if we can have him later rather than sooner. 2019 Gordon reinstated by Goody??? Could equate to some sort of MVP??

Just let the players consume their cannabis. It hurts no one.

So Harry gets Gordon's #10.

If you were able to quit on your own, good for you! I couldn’t and joined a group that helped save my life. It’s a sneaky illness that never goes away.

I heard people say that alcoholism progresses even as we stay sober in my early days of sobriety. But I didn’t care about the future then, I just wanted to learn how to live a sober & productive life.

After a few years, a member that had been sober for 26 years started to drink again and we stopped seeing him. A few months later, we heard he passed away in a drunken stupor

After being sober a long time, I got a new job. I found out one of my coworkers was sober too. His name was Bob and he’d call me now & then asking me how I’ve stayed sober so long. He had done it on his own and stayed sober for around 10 years.

Around 5 years ago, I was told he started up his Harley in his garage and kept the door closed so he could leave this world and his kids behind

It’s not simply about quitting drinking and it’s a horrendous disease that tears people up

Far too often people believe they are "fixed" once the substance of choice has been removed. Everyone who is an addict has an underlying issue that drives their use. Sure, you may start taking opioids to treat pain (since when is it unacceptable to be in discomfort? Ffs, the ****ification of America is a a huge part of the problem), but you dont keep taking them for pain. You go back to that well to escape something. Maybe youre unhappy with with work/marriage/family and your use is an escape of reality. It all comes back to the unwillingness to discuss the true issue facing this society, mental health.

Of the 2 major issues constantly discussed (addiction epudemic and shootings), mental health is at the very center of both. The government does less and less, makes it impossible to get someone into treatment without debilitating professional consequences for most and then refuses to hold the individual accountable for their actions.

Maybe patient/doc confidentiality needs to go by the wayside in mental health cases. This way, judges or family members left holding the bag to clean up the mess can actually have access to all the information. There needs to be a system to verify that individuals are being truthful with mental health professionals as well. Far to often they game the system, avoid any real diagnosis, let alone any treatment. They are left to further spiral out of control.

Its a massive drain on families, society and the government. As far as i can tell, only one of those groups makes it impossible to take meaningful action, and that group is never held accountable for their many failures at any level they are involved in. In fact, youd be hard pressed to convince me that our government acts like something other than a person who lacks fundamental reasoning skills. Just look at child support and custody battles. The government is such a mess that the people with the knowledge and ability to come up with practical solutions don't even want to have a conversation with them. Judge Chen literally said exponent's argument was compelling. That kind of incompetance should leave a judge disbarred for life.

That's good in the sense that he didnt say that Goodell is a total d-bag but if I were Gordon's agent I would have instruct him to say exactly what he said, no matter what the truth is. S0, as you said there is some hope but I don't think we can read too much into the public statements. Just my opinion.

Lets hope Gordon comes back. He is crucial to our success this year
