Trent Williams interest?

Do we have room for that kind of cap hit?

Might have to trade a DB or LB to help offset $

I would rather use that money to extend Thuney.

Williams would be the best pats LT of the Brady/BB era, make the OL in the realm of the 2014 Cowboys & allow Wynn to fully recover while serving as swing tackle.

The cap hit is tough but they could get there.

Wynn could play LG next year if Thuney is no longer on the team

Not that we haven’t seen them before, but possible head case. If BB and Scar sign off on that, I’d be delighted.

The rumour interests me more on the “Wynn front” than anything. Had/Have high hopes.

Brady extension would definitely get the cap space, but even something like a Devin McCourty extension, trading Johnathan Jones (in a deep CB group), and a couple moves like parting with Inman, Shelton, Parry would get us closer to the mark.

I'm hearing Harmon could be involved in the trade. Trading Harmon saves 2.5 mil

We also have 3 3rds so I'm sure - if we wanted - we could get something done.

I haven't heard Harmon's name pop up - but honestly, I'd rather give up Johnathan Jones, whose cap hit is higher as well.

I think this would be a good trade rather than forcing Wynn at LT right now.

I’m glad Williams isn’t backing down as Gruden has been the true problem. He’s a delusional coach from the Marvin Lewis tree blaming other players without looking at himself in the mirror. I have no idea how he’s still a head coach.

a) we don't know the Pats are actually interested and it is not the Redskins just dangling the Pats name to make other bidders increase their offers

b) it would be a waste of resources to have a high paid tackle with Scar around. I'd rather take a solid swing tackle than scratch together 10m in cap space for one year (EDIT: two years actually) of Trent Williams.

It's 2 years

2 years on his deal.
Giving Brady that to end his career would be smart.
However Caserio is pry brokering this deal for the Texans.
They are a franchise Tackle away from being a complete team.

I honestly doubt that Caserio has the power to give the Texans anything right now?

And I'm no cap expert, but I think a trade for Williams would make it so we don't take on the entire cap hit. Mostly the numbers I've been hearing if we were to deal for him, are the 11, 12 million numbers on the right.

1) What would we likely be giving up? I think it's a given it would be picks. 1st rounder? 2nd and 3rd? 12 first rounders? A night with Gisele?

2) Why are they trading him?

3) Where are people reading that Harmon might be involved in the trade, that'd make me sad.
