Six months after SB win, what little thing sticks in your memory?

I think for me it came from the mic'd up segments after the Super Bowl. Right before Gilmore's interception, you hear BB yelling, "Come on, intercept it! YES!" We so rarely see footage of him getting excited DURING a game. After they win, he's all over it, but he's so business like during game operations. Even after Butler's interception in 49, I think all we saw was him throw an arm in the air. I really think last year was special for him, because there were such tough stretches throughout the year that winning it felt a little extra spicy.

A lot of good ones that I thought of using so all in all it's hundreds of little impressions.

The one I'll add is in all the after-documentaries. After the TD drive Donald on the sideline says to Suh, paraphrasing, "They blocked me one on one, twice on that drive. I've got to win those." They then show Thuney stonewalling him on two plays. He didn't even get a sniff of Brady.

But don't put him in the NFL 1oo for year. o_O

"Come on, intercept it! YES!"

And that he says it as soon as Goff releases the ball not even turning his head yet to see Gilmore in perfect position because he understands what is going on like nobody else. Really Bill Walsh is the only other guy I put in that league of totally understanding every nuance. Guys like Lombardi, Parcells, Gibbs, etc they all won with other traits.

Defense, defense, defense and that I wasn't pulling my hair out my head up to the last second.

Oh, and Gronk's diving catch just 2-3 yards short of a TD in the 4th quarter.

Chung on Reynolds
Hightower on the TE,
Elandon Roberts on the Guard
KVN on Goff

Those 4 plays set the tone for the game

Others have pointed it out already but everything about the JMac play really set a certain tone.

He had no business getting there in time but he did not only that but had enough patience and composure to play it totally clean. And then after making a gigantic play on the biggest stage there was no celebration, finger wagging or posing but he was on to the next play.

Attention to detail and focus.

Certainly the JMac play on Cooks sticks out in everyone's memory but it was hardly a 'little thing.' It was rather the opposite, a big time play. I'd be honestly interested in seeing responses to the OP's inquiry. What "weird little thing" sticks out? I recall thinking how odd it was that at half time only being up by 3 it felt like the Pats just had it in the bag. When LA tied it in the 3rd I didn't have a "DAMN IT!!! THEY HAD THEIR HEELS ON THE RAMS THROAT ALL GAME!!! WTF!!!" sinking feeling. I wasn't at all p!ssed, just knew the Pats would put them away. No doubt, none at all. That was...weird.

This. This. This.....and this again.

He had no business getting close to Cooks let alone knocking the ball loose.

A championship play.

Not to take anything away from JMAC, but I think we still would have won even if they scored there. LAR had no business being on the field against us that day. Their coach was too starry eyed over Bill to actually prepare.

When was it? Late in the 3rd Pats up 3-0? Yea I agree. Lambs were doing nothing vs us that day.

I remember that Brady pass to Gronk that set up the only TD of the Super Bowl. I don't think I'll ever forget it.
That one tops the list for me too. Brady and Gronk went to the well maybe for the last time together. Great last catch for Gronk to put an exclamation point on his legacy. Great reminder that Brady is indeed still here when everything is on the line.

Also, epic defensive performance all around.

Oh and I almost forgot. Gronk also literally left his mark on the Lombardi being his authentic self that he never sold out of his entire career. Classic.

NFL films does a sneaky job sometimes. So something Bill does in the 1st quarter will be spliced next to something the team does in the 4th quarter. All for dramatic effect...

Honestly what stuck out to me was how well Danny Shelton played. That one play in the second quarter the Rams were driving and just crossed midfield into Patriot territory and Shelton stuffed CJ Anderson for a loss of a few yards. That forced them into a third and long which they didn’t convert.

The other thing that sticks out to me is that play Josh apparently just drew up on the sideline. The playaction pass in the 4th quarter where Gronk sold the block on the LB then ran a fade to the sideline. I think on one of the Mic’d up shows Dorsett asked James White where the play came from and White said Josh just made it a few seconds ago. Pretty big chunk play in a game we struggled to move the ball. Another great adjustment by McDaniels and the coaching staff.

"Man.... how many times have we been to my brother's house for a super bowl party? "

"That might be Gronk's last catch"

"Whoever made this chip dip needs an award"

The 17 year challenge they flashed up during the game was funny.

Tom Brady 17 years ago.

I loved all of it but the drive when we were up 10-3, backed up on our own goal line, and then we ran Sony and Rex for two huge gains in a row, that was awesome.

I really think last year was special for him because of all the turmoil he got for benching Butler in the previous SB. Some players, fans and media were all over him. I would have to believe “your only as good as your last SB” thoughts were haunting him all year.

He put together a game plan for the ages against the Rams which put a huge smile on his face

You are so right. The shear number of people that vilified him one year to then hail him the next is amazing.
