Edelman is going to be at 90-81 I think. The only other option is Nick Foles but I have my doubts due to his limited playing time.

Airs tomorrow night @ 9 pm ET on NYJFL* Network.

I guess #1 has to be Donald, Brady, Brees, or Mahomes. I think it’s pretty idiotic to go with Donald, even if he’s by far the best defensive player. The QB position just moves the needle so much more. But I bet Donald ends up #1 because, hey, idiotic does not mean it won’t happen. I’m thinking it’s those four and Mack rounding out the top 5. Wonder if Gilmore can crack top 10.

Really hard to say. It depends on when each player entered their ballot. I think they start taking ballots at the end of the regular season.

My guess is Mahomes and Donald are 1-2. Brady 3?

I don’t understand your comment. Why would Edelman have to be 81-90 and foles is the only other option? There will be 10 guys in that group.

Sorry, should have elaborated. They said there was a Super Bowl MVP in the next episode. Edelman or Foles are the likely options.

Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Von Miller are likely to be higher.

Manning, Flacco, Malcolm Smith are unlikely to be on the list.

I think Brady will be lower. 8-12 range.

Donald
Mahomes
Brees
Hopkins
Wagner
Julio
Mack
Brady
Saquon
Cox
Watt
Gilmore

Very curious about where they rank Gilmore. I get a bad feeling it’ll be way lower than he should be.

Donald might not be my pick but I really don't see how you can find much fault in calling him the best player in the NFL when he dominates his position (an important/valuable one at that, even if not QB) as much as anyone.

Anyone who listened to SoundFx after the Super Bowl should know what a douche Aaron Donald is. So much trash talk for a guy who was invisible in the biggest game of his career...

Hightower 100-81
Shaq Mason 60-40
Edelman 60-40
Gilmore 30-11
Brady top 10

I put a wide margin for them, cause i feel like i will get EVERYONE right. I feel like people wont sleep on our playmakers after last season.

Yes, In other NFL top 100's Patriots players got snubbed, so i get the skepticism, but i don't think this will be the case anymore

The NFL Top 100 rankings can be pretty weird. It's the players voting on it, so it's just a popularity contest. I wouldn't read too much into it or try to predict it honestly.

Simple reasoning: if you had a theoretical choice as a GM to pick any player for this season, based on evaluating the 2018 season only, how many quarterbacks would you be at the top of your draft board before Donald?

There's a 50% chance you're incorrect with Edelman. I think Edelman goes in at 81-90.

With the guys they have in the 90-100 range I don't see Hightower making the list.

I assume you will see Edelman and Mason both today in the 81-90 range.

Brady, Edelman and Gilmore are the 3 guys who will definitely get into the top 100. Mason is a possibility and no one else will get close.....and I love it.

the only 2 things that I will find interesting. First will be to find out how many other teams get more players in than the Pats, and who the top 10 players are. These lists and all "power ratings" are just mental exercises that mean NOTHING. The fact that people so often get outraged about a perceived injustice astounds me.

It's just someone's opinion! An opinion which is just as valid as yours or anyone else's. What's the old adage. If there is ONE thing you can count on, is that opinions and ***holes, everyone has one. ;)

Bottom line the greatness of the Pats is that during this 20 year run, they have CONSISTENTLY proven that in football, the sum can be greater than the individual parts. That was the culture that Bill created and THAT is why they have defied every attempt to knock them back into the pack of mediocrity the NFL system is designed to create.

It is also why they are so easy to respect and enjoy following. I am constantly amazed that there are any haters at all, given that what the Pats do and represent SHOULD be what other fans would like their OWN teams to look like.

And as a matter of fact, you probably have noticed that you are hearing the level of "Pat's speak" coming from a LOT of teams increasing on an incremental basis the last few years. It might have taken 20 years but it looks like they are FINALLY getting it. ;)

The one novelty about this particular list is that it's voted on by peers. It's interesting to see how the players rank themselves in the aggregate. Brady winning the thing in back to back years at ages 39-40 is impressive in that it strongly hints at the insane amount of respect he has amongst the players. YMMV.

Devin McCourty @ #89

Luke Kuechly pointing out what makes him a great player, you hear that DMac haters?
