Edelman Injured

I'm not kidding. There was a hard high five with the guy on Pyramid, and at the time I thought he reacted like there was some pain.

Interesting. I can't help but think about the "Wally Pipp clip". For those who haven't seen it, it was the clip that after JE returned a punt for a TD, Bill walked over to an injured WW on the sideline and asked if he ever heard of Pipp, and then explained Pipp was the starting for the Yankee's and got hurt, Lou Gerhrig replaced him and didn't miss a game for over a decade. Welker didn't seem like he got it. ;) I'm sure he does now.

That being said, if Sony's stay on the PUP is 96th on my worry list, Julian's 3 week injury is about 149th. If anything it could be a plus and offer more reps to guys who NEED more reps. If there is any player on the roster who you can say, 'we know what we have' it's Edelman. Besides his injury will allow him to stay in top condition and keep his route running skills sharp while he's out. So when he does come back he won't be far behind.

I just hope there is no serious injury. We got fairly lucky last year...
That's a fact though it did look like that at the start of the season with most of our draft class knocked out before the season even started and the Hill injury at the time when Michel and Burkhead were still out. But AFTER that point, the Pats were very lucky with injuries for the rest of that season.

I can't hand wring about tweaks on 7/22. It's a long way before games count.

Just saw Michael Bennett broke his ankle. My heart skipped a beat until I read the article and discovered it was the Michael Bennett on the Falcons

I'm not going to be too worried unless it's Sept 8 and he isn't available. The Brady-Edelman Vulcan-like 3rd down mind meld won't take much time to reestablish.

Meh. Not a big deal.
I was at the beach today and at 10:00 am I made the mistake of tuning in to WEEI. Dale and Keefe with Andy Hart substituting for Keefe. Dale Arnold starts off the show by stating that while Edelman's time off is pegged at 3 weeks, he believes it will be at least 6 weeks. When Hart asks why he believes that, Arnold says Larry Lucchino told him years ago that whatever the doctors say, you need to double it. Now, I was only on beer #1, but I already felt like jumping in the ocean and 1) either drowning myself, or 2) looking for a shark to sidle up to. My sensibilities took over (I mistakenly thought), so I texted the show and suggested some sort of moderation in Arnold's reaction might be in order. I received a message back saying I was restricted from offering commentary. I chugged beer #2 and went back in the ocean looking for that f###### shark...

We could easily make the playoffs with all second stringers anyway so this is nothing to worry about

Is there any obvious reason that I am missing why Jules isn't starting the camp on PUP if he will miss multiple weeks ?

Not being on PUP allows him to practice, run routes and be there to mentor other players

This scared the s#*t out of me. First thing I saw was DL Michael Bennett, broken ankle.

You should have fed your radio to the shark.

And no, it's really not.
It’s a thumb trauma injury. You easily could’ve mentioned that and not had everyone wondering if Edelman blew out his ACL again.

Enforced Foxboro flu

How ****ing dumb do you have to be to think this was a serious post? No, of course this isn't a strategic move. Nobody should have to say that.

Which means more probably than not six weeks.
I tend to agree with you. The good news is that still puts him in line for the opener. No use rushing things.

Paging Braxton Berrios.

Mr Berrios please report to the 1st team, I repeat please report to the 1st team.
