Tyreek Hill Investigation

I agree with you. However, the NFL has an antitrust exemption. It’s highly unlikely another football league will come to give it competition. The most that can realistically happen is they fall back to the pack in the pantheon of American sports. Therefore, they don’t care about your opinion as a paying customer. From their POV, you can be replaced.
I do understand and agree with your comment. My post was more as a customer whom is unhappy with the way this NFL conducts themselves. Eventually if you piss off enough fans one at a time your product takes a hit. It may take time but when it happens it becomes a sink hole. Aka NBA.

I've been lurking here since 2002 and I find the need to reveal to all of you now that Fnord is not my lover...he's just a guy who thinks that I am the one...the kid is not my son...:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Beat it.

Chris

The NBA is anything but a sinkhole. I hate the players teaming up, etc. But, that league has enormous popularity and the interest in it is at an all-time high. It's wildly attractive to millions. And, I'm one of them, although I'm not especially proud of it.

You're smarter than you look, Chris...

Tyreek Hill?...not so much

All of you clearly did not listen to the full 16 minute tape that was released later.

Hill did not know he was being recorded, yet he confronted his girlfriend about how she lied about his 2014 assault case. She deflected and refused to address it. If he actually did it, why would he be saying he didn’t in what he thought was a private conversation? And why would she not deny his claim?

The full audio paints a different picture: she is toxic and has blamed him for things in anger that he did not do.

I’d suggest listening to it before forming an opinion, especially considering he wasn’t aware it wasn’t a private conversation and therefore had no reason to lie to her about things only the two of them would know the truth about.
Alrite bro, I listened to the tape a 3rd time now because I'm biased against sub human pieces of ****.

Now, it don't matter if Hill didn't know he was being recorded. You tell us, and you use the word all, that we clearly didn't listen to the full audio. But did you even listen to the full audio? Do you not hear other people in the audio at different times? Do you not understand they're in a public place?

Listen here at around 9:22 from the youtube clip at the bottom I posted.

"You got it, there you go getting loud want everybody see us in the world"

Do you see? He's not going to be honest! He's fully aware of where he is.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't understand where she is deflecting.

Around 2:23
Tyreek Hill: "And then when you get in the court room you wanna sit up there and ****ing cry on the stand, 'He hit me, he hit me', man come on bro"

Crystal Espinal: "then where did the bruises come from, Tyreek?"

(I'm paraphrasing the following since they kinda talk over each other and repeat the same **** over and over and I don't feel like transcribing it word for word)
TH: "Did I hit you?" CE: "where did the bruises come from" TH: "Did I hit you?" CE: "where did the bruises come from"

Where's the deflection? That's not deflection. You mean when Tyreek keeps repeating Did I hit you? Did I hit you? Did I hit you? Did I hit you? after she already responded with where did the bruises come from a few times? That's not deflection, listen at the way he's speaking to her, his tone, the way he keeps repeating it. Then she tries to get back to the topic she wanted to talk about. That's not deflection. That's her trying to get back on topic even though she did respond to his question with "where did the bruises come from"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for the rest of what those two pieces of **** said on the audio. They're both not going to spill the beans on how they both abuse their child. She knows it's recording, and he knows he's in public and he's a publicly recognizable person.

Just a few transcribed **** that is from the audio:

(around the 5 minute mark of youtube video below)
CE: "think about why a freaking three year old would tell everyone and everybody that you broke his arm, why would he do that?"

TH: "Because I'm the one that plays with him maybe that's why. You don't do **** with him. I'm the one that gets physical with it"

Gets physical with it? What is this? Sounds like abuse, but let's keep going...

(Around the 8:55 mark)
CE: "when he starts crying what do you do? You make him open up his arms and you punch him in the chest. and then if he gets in trouble you get the belt out."
TH: "Ok so what about you? What you gonna do, so...(gibberish)"
CE: "No I told him he gets whooped."
CE: "But I don't use a belt"
TH: "You do use a belt. That's sad. Even my momma says you use a belt."
CE: ""When have I used a belt?" "when have you seen me use a belt?" "When have I used a belt?"

(Around the 9:55 mark)
TH: "I would never ever hurt my son."

(Around the 10:50 mark)
TH: "If he's terrified of me, we was in that gym with all those kids then what, what about that?"

TH: "everywhere we go my son loves on me. Everywhere we go"
CE: "then we get home what is it"
TH: "When we get home it's for real, it's serious time, it's time to lock in cause he know I don't play. I want my son to learn respect something that you did not teach our son."

Yeah because that doesn't scream abuse.

Can't prove who abused the kid that time even though it seems to be clear they're both abusive towards the child. Innocent my ass.

I saw this news this morning and it makes me sick. This move was strictly to help the Chiefs stay competitive with the Pats. If it were a Patriot.....we know what would happen.

So was the NFL. The interest in the NBA since the free agency period started is off the charts.

It is very popular with the youth. You should also be proud and enjoy whatever sports you like best. I was a great lover of hoop from Russell till Pierce years. After that they lost me and all of my friends allowing babies to enter the league and the three point line which destroyed the game. The NBA made some decisions that was unpopular with myself and many my age. They lost us. Basketball at one time was at the top of the 4 major sports but plummeted since then in regards to all age group’s and Male and female popularity. They are #3 in ratings now but was once at the top (Bird/Magic era) The kids love it the seniors hate it. The main reason’s being what I mentioned before. Just a bunch of canaries hanging on the three point line. Defense non existent. Boxing out, good picks, low post game a thing of the past. Today’s game is like watching the Harlem Globetrotters in my day. It was decisions the NBA made that made them less popular. The NFL is heading in that direction to myself personally. It has turned into a soap opera and a gun slinger league. Just my opinion as I said enjoy what you like

I think Super Bowl ratings were pretty bad last this year as well. Yes, NBA free agency was nuts and ratings should improve with the player movement. Western Conference will be fun to watch.

It sure looks like Goodell is going easy on the punishments in an attempt to convince the NFLPA to let him keep all of his power in the new CBA. Once his ability to suspend anybody for anything is locked in for another 10 years, then he can go back to the Brady and Ezekiel Elliott suspension standards.
Damn! Another angle i haven't thought about. This is something they would really do!!!!

I saw the Celtics play for the first time at the Providence Auditorium when they had doubleheaders in the fifties as a little kid. Had season tickets in the early 70s during the Cowens years. As I said, I hate the way the players run that league, but I love NBA basketball and always will. It's like loving hotdogs but hating how they're made.

I’d go further and say “if it was a team that had no shot” the league would suspend. The fact that he plays for KC - the sexy up n comer - makes the difference here.

The biggest problem with the league policies are - ImO - the ridiculous inconsistencies with who isn’t punished, for what reason, and for how long.

Sorry Jackson. I took you as a kid but your a old man like myself lol. I saw my first game when Russell was player/coach. Loved the Havilcheck/Cowens and Bird era’s. Use to go to the garden as a kid on Saturday mornings and Auerbach gave lessons with some players coming out to demonstrate. All the kids sat floor level and learned the fundamentals. That is what has turned me off from the game. Fundamentals gone. The players these days are better athletes but the game has become one dimensional. I’m glad you still enjoy it wish I could because I love the game. But I do love hotdogs regardless.

Adrian Peterson must be shaking his head somewhere.
Not really. Don't you remember when he admitted last season that he still beats his child. Nobody batted an eye. Unbelievable!

If ever there were any shred of doubt that Goodell is a corrupt, shameless POS who will bend over backwards and sell his soul at every possible opportunity to disadvantage the Pats, this obliterates said doubt. He really just laid bare the depth of his corruption and lack of integrity for all the world to see; he's not even pretending anymore to have consistency or equanimity.

I love the “did I hit you?” over and over...You can tell he really thinks he’s thought of something genius there... “did I hit you? I slammed your head against the wall but I didn’t hit you...”
