Tyreek Hill Investigation

What gets my Goat (no pun intended) is I am a paying customer of the NFL. 27 years. I expect a fair and consistent application of all the rules. So my team gets no more or less. Let the talent of the teams decide the games and the season.

Hill gets no punishment but TB12 gets a four game suspension and we lose draft picks (a 1st rounder to boot) for absolutely no wrong doing.
This is yet another unfair and inconsistent application of the rules and punishments.

If the Chiefs were not the Patriots prime contender he would be suspended just for his verbal threat to her. Oh well. Bring it on. Has not stopped us yet

Time to get the Goodell clown shirts and towels out of storage.

The NFL decision making process on discipline....

Gotta prop up the MVP. Can’t let the Pats go back to the Super Bowl again. Smh

exactly. That's it. If Mahomes has no Hill they win 9 games.

No mention of "You need to be terrified of me too, *****."

Huh.

Now watch, today on Felgar and Azz they will be going after Pats fans for being upset about this.

Consistently Inconsistent.

IMO there is now a chance Gordon isn’t suspended at all & starts across Edelman/Harry week 1. Zeke didn’t get suspended either a few weeks ago.
Hope you’re right, although I’m not as confident seeing as how neither of your examples were facing indefinite suspensions, let alone previous indefinite suspensions.

Hopefully a video tape will come out after the fact a la Ray Rice and he'll get banned for the year.

Very, very disappointing. Makes me sick TBH. I wish I didn’t love football so much. After TFB and BB are gone maybe I’ll switch to college. Not that the NCAA isn’t also repugnant.

I agree with you. However, the NFL has an antitrust exemption. It’s highly unlikely another football league will come to give it competition. The most that can realistically happen is they fall back to the pack in the pantheon of American sports. Therefore, they don’t care about your opinion as a paying customer. From their POV, you can be replaced.

I'm not quite as motivated and righteous as I was in my teens, but if Gordon is suspended for any amount of time in light of the Hill decision I'd be fully in favoring of trying to organize and mobilize a public/media campaign to draw attention to the ethically empty and corrupt decisions by the NFL.

As another poster said, get child advocacy groups involved, get domestic violence groups involved, get women's groups involved, get mental health/substance abuse groups involved. Publicly shame the NFL, and demonstrate how horribly corrupted and ethically senseless/empty their decision making, on a large, public scale.

Kids lives matter. Let's get that going.

I'm curious now how KC handles Hill's contract suitation. Will they wait out the year making sure nothing else happens to their unstable player? Does KC try to make a lower offer than they made earlier or do they buy another year of waiting and franchise him next year.

Have to say I never expected anything to happen with the child abuse angle with no one talking but Hill getting a pass on the “You need to b terrified…” comment in today’s environment is bizarre, to say the least

All of you clearly did not listen to the full 16 minute tape that was released later.

Hill did not know he was being recorded, yet he confronted his girlfriend about how she lied about his 2014 assault case. She deflected and refused to address it. If he actually did it, why would he be saying he didn’t in what he thought was a private conversation? And why would she not deny his claim?

The full audio paints a different picture: she is toxic and has blamed him for things in anger that he did not do.

I’d suggest listening to it before forming an opinion, especially considering he wasn’t aware it wasn’t a private conversation and therefore had no reason to lie to her about things only the two of them would know the truth about.

I don't care that they didn't suspend him. I also don't care that they DID suspend Elliot last year.

I just want them to be consistent, which is beyond them.
I’d be pretty pissed if I was Ezekiel Elliott or Jerry Jones about this.
