NFL in 2050

My bet there won't be an NFL as we know it, in general, in 2050. Football will collapse because of many reasons, #1 lack of youth participation.

Since we've officially gone serious with this thread, my take is that the world will barely be habitable by then.

Football is a sport many of us picked up as freshman in high school. Not a lot of skills needed to be learned at a young age. They'll keep playing it down south. And if a population of 100 million could supply the league 75 years ago, I bet it'll continue. Sure, the players won't be as great, but since they're playing each other, it will look more like a game between Alabama and Clemson, and people will pay for that.

With the exception of China/Asia and Africa the world has done a great job of reducing air pollution. Just gotta keep it going.

Air Pollution

Football may collapse someday but 2050 isn't that far off when you think about it.. I doubt it's dead by then, 2100 maybe..

Hopefully your right about 2050 not being that far away, 30 years, I will never see it.

Bingo. It's already starting.

But the good thing is I'll be old in 30 years. :D

I am old now, I will be long dead before 30 years.

Certainly different than today for sure.

Got your point, down SOUTH, then they voted for who? They have already had too many skull fractures.

Not a chance. Three reasons why: (1) it brings in too much $$$ at the college level, (2) there always will be players willing to take risks at the pro level for big $$$ and (3) medical science eventually will solve the CTE problem.

It will look like the Lingerie Bowl,

Maybe... but I think it will be similar to flag football

All very valid points but 30 years is a long time. In Maine, baseball is falling off so much that they are asking to take kids to the Sea Dogs games to spark interest. Maybe that will work, I don't think so.

me in 30 years:

That's one sorry azz looking marker for only 30 years of weathering. You'd think your family would have sprung for a higher quality headstone.
Sorry, it's the only one I had in my photos, historic church from Ireland where many of my ancestors are buried.
