Like lots, 51. I've rewatched it several times and I somehow still get nervous for the outcome. It's seriously too late in the game to come back and they don't even do that well on some of the drives in the second half. Like there's missed kicks and punting and drops that just can't work. Love it.

The game is worth re-watching just to see the look on Belichick’s face down 28-3. The guy looks like he’s certain they will still win the game. No one on the Patriots looks dejected or “out of it.”

The other thing really notable is how few massive, game changing plays the Patriots got, or were gifted, to erase a 25 point deficit in 18 minutes. I mean, go rewatch that Oilers-Bills games and you’ll see a ton of interceptions, turnovers, deep touchdown passes, huge defensive breakdowns, etc. The Falcons made two big errors (Ryan strip sack by whiffed block and Ryan taking the sack after the Jones grab.). But those plays pale in comparison to what you’d see in a typical epic scale comeback. They just grinded away at the lead, play by play, with almost zero error. In particular Brady got that one lucky play by Edelman but otherwise just made difficult 10-yard sideline passes and 15 yard needle threads throughout. It makes it even more impressive.

Super Bowl 49 is the best game if I’m watching the entire game. Super Bowl 51 if I’m fast forwarding to the second half. It’s hard to pick between the two. The Seahawks game is like a symphony of greatness, a total roller coaster, leading up to the absolute crescendo with Butler’s interception. The fourth quarter of SB49 is just an incredible display of competition and outstanding football. That game is the only pick ‘em in SB history, and I think both teams win 50 if they played it 100 times.

In regards to 49 & 51.

49 was definitely a better overall game, but 51 may have been the most nerve-wrecking for me (maybe besides the 4th QT/OT of the 2018 KC AFCCG). During 51, they were down by 25 points...in the SB. Then, they kept inching closer & closer & had to damn near execute flawlessly from that point on. It was maybe the biggest tease I’ve been a part of that we ended up winning. It was like, I’m EXTREMELY proud of you guys, but don’t come all the back THIS CLOSE just to lose...but they pulled it out!

Sleeper.

2012 Week 15 vs SF!

Loss, but AWESOME “almost” comeback!

Probably the Falcons game. The 06 Chargers playoff game is great too, one of my all time favorite wins.

Sleeper that I haven’t seen anyone mention yet!

Well , for a good reason, after winning 6 Super Bowls and a million regular season games, how can a regular season loss possibly be your favorite game to rewatch?

It’s not...check my earlier post. I simply mentioned it due to the mental toughness & effort our team showed that night after being down 31-3.

Broncos Patriots 2013

16’ AFC Championship Game
07’ Steelers Game
14’ Colts games
15’ AFC game - I know we lost but was an unbelievable performance considering the injuries we had.

All Super Bowl wins.

A bit of a tangent here, so I apologize, but Super Bowl 51 was such a WEIRD experience for me. Somehow, it's the least stressed I've ever been during a Super Bowl.

Obviously, started out stressed because hey, SUPER BOWL. And for the first quarter it was business as usual. Then things got out of hand so quickly, that I actually mentally checked out. I still watched, but I was eating food, putzing around, watching every play but not stressing every play. I figured they'd make it look closer but no way they'd win.

By the time it really became clear they could pull off the comeback, there wasn't enough time left in the game to build the anticipation stress back up! Then once OT came and we won the toss, there was no doubt in my mind we were scoring a TD after all that.

Such a weird (and wonderful) game.

That’s exactly how I felt during that game....

That game is a microcosm of what this team is all about.

Should be required watching for any existing or bandwagon Pats Fan.

Honorable mentions for me:

The Killing of Tebowmania 45-10 in the 2011 AFC divisional round. Brady threw 6 touchdowns, 3 to Gronk, Tebow ate 5 sacks and lost a fumble.

The 1-2 punch in the 2004 playoffs of holding the Colts to 3 points after Manning's 49 TD regular season, then hanging 41 on the Steelers who had the #1 defense in points AND yards allowed.

The 19 afcc@Kc
The 05 afcc@Pit
The 05 divisional vs Ind
The 04 afcc vs Ind
The 15 divisional vs Bal

That one and Week 1, 2004.
That as well.. I was a freshman in college.. one of my roommates was from Staten Island... good guy, but sports wise we were polar opposites. He HATED the Patriots before hating the Patriots was cool. He was talking crap all game about Brady, how Manning was better blah blah. Towards the end where it looked like the Colts might pull it out with a last second FG, he was sitting pretty smug. Then Manning gets sacked, Vandershank vandershanks, Pats win. He just got up and went to his room without a word lol.

Oh yea, about a month later a certain baseball team came back from 0-3 to defeat his beloved Yankees. Good ol' Danny haha

I downloaded the 2nd half of the Patriots radio broadcast of SB51 and listen to it while commuting occasionally. Has anyone found or made audio files of other Patriots games?

Just think, I'm sure there were plenty of fans that left at halftime. It was a Sunday night game with TORRENTIAL downpours and the team down by 28.
