I immediately thought of this game too.

I loved this game.

Thanks for that. I skimmed through it until the last few minutes, then I just sat back and smiled as I watched the master at work.

There are just too many games that I would re-watch. One game that goes way back is the 2001 Bills game in Buffalo.

The intentional safety game in Denver is another. There must have been a few heads exploding when the Pats pulled that one out.

Another is a Browns game at Foxboro in the same season as the video you posted (I think). They came back from two TD's down in the last minute in spite of losing Gronk during the game.

There are also some blowouts that I'd enjoy watching again. The Butt-fumble game is one of them.

And the playoffs? We have a choice out of a dozen or more playoff and SB games. The Butler Did It probably heads that list.

But nothing will ever top the 28-3 game. I don't see how. I still re-watch that one somewhat regularly but I start it at the end of the 3rd quarter.

28-3 is just its own thing. Something too crazy to believe that happened anyway.

But I think Super Bowl 49 was a better-played game, from start to finish, by both teams. You can basically start watching the game at any random time and something great will happen on offense or defense, and it kept on going like that down to the final seconds. It was like a 16 round boxing match ending in a last-second KO.

Yep. SB49 was a competitive game. SB51 was one blowout followed by a second blowout.

Love 'em all, but the big comeback was the next best thing to a blowout as a 'signature' game. The booing of Goodell was the essential cherry on top of that glorious football sundae.

I would swap 18 KC with 01 STL but it's a close call. Awesome list though, almost identical to mine.

I had a really hard time choosing between Seattle and Atlanta, still do in fact. Ultimately the improbability of the Atlanta game won out. They had to convert every time, and did it,

I don’t see how it can’t be Super Bowl 49. 51 was epic and probably top two to three, but 49 had a two score comeback, followed by yet another pull-it-out-of-your-ass throw and catch (the third in a row against this team in the Super Bowl), followed by Butler. The end of the first half and the entire second half was an absolute roller coaster of emotions and it definitely took at least a year off my life.

For 51, I somehow knew and expected there would be a comeback. That the Patriots would make it a game. That team was too good to go down like a queef in the night. I posted as much at halftime in the game thread.

I literally tear up every time I watch Butler intercept that ball, followed by the iconic shot of him crying with the team around him, walking off the field after the play. I would pay decent money to have that shot on a t-shirt.

You had the years of turmoil of coming up just short, every flashback of the Giants SB games pop up in your head, all rearing their head in the most ridiculous fashion possible.

But then, the most beautiful resolve, the quintessential "exorcising your demons" with that interception. I don't feel bad for people who aren't Patriots fans and don't get to enjoy the success we've shared - I feel bad for the people who didn't feel that moment tug at every nerve in their bodies and hearts. It encapsulated so much, and was the first time I got to share a SB win with my father after I had really gotten into watching football. I remember he and I popping off the couch IMMEDIATELY. Absolutely amazing.

51 was amazing, but it was the devil in the details for Arizona. It was painful at first, and such an amazing comeback, but it was bound to happen it felt like.

I've watched the condensed version of the divisional game against the chargers this year like a million times. The first half was an all out clinic on both sides of the ball minus one play. The overtime against the Chiefs too. recency bias most likely

SB51 and it's not even close. No Gronk. Atlanta doing a stellar job on Edelman. Atlanta ensuring nobody gets behind their secondary for cheap TDs to fuel a comeback. They basically dared Brady to beat them with pinpoint outs and comebacks to Hogan, Mitchell and Amendola...over and over. And he did. All the while with the D holding the white hot postseason Atlanta offense silent. I remember reading that incredible forcing of Atlanta to punt after the Jones catch was the lone punt of 2016 in which a team had a first down inside an opponent's 23 yard line. That's just one of many insane things from this game. We're 2 full seasons later and I'm still in awe of that game.
