There are 3 different types of strokes which are caused by multiple things. Tedy had TIA in 2005. He's had consussions. He's been on various medications. He might have an irregular heartbeat. Who knows.
All we know is he's had 2 strokes ~14 1/2 years apart.
Stay safe.I am prone to arrhythmia (irregular heart beat) and you usually know when it happens.. personally it is very scary. One of the issues with Arrhythmia is that you tend to be high risk for strokes, thus blood thinner are part of your daily regimen.. have also had an catheter ablation which "zaps" faulty electrical pathways in your heart (14 hours on my back while they zapped the culprits) ....
There are a lot of self diagnosing signs when your heart has gotten into an irregular heart beat; higher than usual blood pressure and increased heart rate, for me personally it hurts and and am aware when it happens.. fortunately because of the ablation and a regimen of medication have not had an issue in a couple of years.
The Mass-RI health care system is one of the best in the world, fortunately for Tedy and all of us..
Even if they do diagnose root cause and he gets the treatment he needs, if he ever has another health issue there will be plenty of armchair MDs on here to second guess the decision making.... I hope they help diagnose the root cause of his issues and he can get the treatment he needs.
