NBA Draft - Trades - Free Agents

as of today, this is what the celts have ((potential adds as of this morning):

5 - RWilliams, (Vucevic)
4 - Tatum, Yabusele, GWilliams
3 - Hayward, Ojele
2 - Brown, Langford
1 - Smart, Edwards, (Rozier)

if the celts bring in Vucevic and bring back Rozier, they will still need a 4-5 with some experience

Potential 4-5 for short money that could bring something to the table:
Deandre Jordan, Kenneth Faried, even Frank Kaminsky
If they add Vucevic and Jordan w/ Williams as the 4/5 for 20 minutes a game no one is coming inside on them.

That is a 50+ win team and with Philly a mess, TOR loses Kawhi and MIL potentially losing Middleton, they could easily be ECF bound.

The C’s lack of big men reminds me of BB’s indifference to WRs going into the season opener last year..... or TEs this year.
Time Lord will need to get his cardio on to last 48 every night.
I’m wondering how Ainge/ The Brad really feel about Scary T.
Could they be crossing their fingers hoping some team pays Rozier just enough so Boston has to decline matching the terms.
Like it or not Hayward will be the focal point of the offense with the ball running through him most possessions. Please let him find a consistent shot this year.
It would seem Semi will finally get consistent minutes this year. Big fan of his shot.
Lastly, the kids played great D when Hayward and Flat Earther we’re injured in 2018. I expect The Brad to get after it more without having to cover for No D Kyrie now.
The Brad will get to coach more his way now that the nonbeliever has moved on. As the Aussie Sniper suggested yesterday before getting traded, “we should have listened to coach more.”
I'm a little disappointed Scary went all public with his beef airing team dirty laundry. I understand he was frustrated but a little too immature IMO.

sounds like Irving created the environment.......he wasn't alone in his sentiment......he just happened to be at the same position.....it's hard to lose your minutes to someone who made the team worse

I don't see that at all
Hes a young, cheap, talented player. A perfect asset for a trade/sign n trade.

With that said I do like him and prefer he stays.

I think he did too. Just a bad cultural fit.

Middleton is staying in MIL.......but it will come at the expense of mirotic, lopez, and brogdon though brogdon is restricted

Toronto's problems are more longer term regardless of whether they keep Leonard or not.....ithey can bring the band back together is they want to pay a steep luxury tax for a year, but a bunch of guys are up at the end of next year

if you want to spin your wheels or go backwards....the situation now does not call for him being moved......for better or worse, it's time to have brown and tatum out there for 35 minutes per game and see where it goes.......the team is in great shape in terms of not locking itself in for the long run.......Ainge did a great job of piecing a team together especially considering that the worst of all possible scenarios played out and the future still looks very very interesting

OK hadn't heard he was staying. MIL needs a vet.

Gasol would be a fool to opt out.

the most important thing to go back on is that Ainge had to make that deal for Irving.....he had no choice especially considering what the jazz gave up for mike conley.....what the C's gave up for Irving was insignificant plus they had him for 2 years.......you make that deal every time.....it just didn't work out

MIL Gasol is done.........TOR Gasol will get an additional year and more total $ if he goes.....though the market is saturated with bigs

Middleton is getting MAX

Depends on the player they get but I tend to agree.

36min of Jaylen Brown gets you 18/6 and solid D.

I hope they can find a way to keep Al, because that group minus Hayward was a game from beating LeBron. I’d be excited to watch that. If not, to me, need a smooth-passing big.

My Atlanta Hawks are still a couple of years away, but I'm really psyched about their trajectory. Trae Young, Kevin Huerter, Cam Reddish, Deandre Hunter, and John Collins are all 21 years or younger. Plus, they're a lot of fun to watch.

Didn't people say the same kind of stuff about Paul Pierce at the same point in his career with the Celtics. He might have been a "victim" of the same rules had they existed in the NBA 20 years ago.

I liked Al too but I'm not interested in him @ $30m yr.

At the end of his 3rd year Truth was pumping in 26ppg.

If Jaylen was doing that I wouldn't be even suggesting moving him was an option worth considering.

Also, interested to see how they perform not having a huge monkey on their back with a "championship or bust" mentality. Similar to when Hayward went down and then Kyrie in the playoffs. They definitely overachieved.
