"Oh right, he played for the Patriots."

Holy ****. I completely forgot about Chad Brown. I was so damn excited! Robert Edwards is a name I hate seeing brought up. I was so excited for his future. Fred Taylor coming out of college. I’ll never forget the photos in all of the draft magazines with him looking like some sort of mystical gladiator in the coliseum with that visor he used to wear in college. It was so awesome. Keith Traylor is another one that I always forget about.

Henry Ellard
Terry Allen
Reggie White (this one ... Reggie White Stats | Pro-Football-Reference.com)

Then there are others that did play for the Patriots as well, of course: Fred Taylor, Nick Lowery, Henry Ellard, Steve McMichael, Ernie Holmes, Shaun Ellis, etc.

Wait! Does this mean Ray Lewis played for the Pats? !!! :D:eek:
Belichick had the Browns set up with 2 #1 picks the Lewis draft. The Browns moved to Baltimore and drafted Ray Lewis.

No doubt in my mind that BB had his sights on Lewis.

Missing John Lynch on that "never played a regular season game" list.

Fred Taylor is the weirdest one, for me... totally forgot he was in NE.
The thing with Fred was that he got hurt early in both seasons he was here.

He was off to a nice start for us in 09. Even had a 100 yard performance.

I’m trying to find ones that no one has mentioned yet..

A lot of odd names floated around from 2006-2010. Andre Davis. Artrell Hawkins. Kelley Washington. Sam Aiken. Victor Hobson. Brandon McGowan. Alex Smith (the TE) Damione Lewis, and so on..

I also find myself forgetting about Mark Anderson’s 10 sack season in 2011.

But how about this group of CB’s from 07-08: Tory James? Jason Webster? Fernando Bryant?

One of the many former Colts skill players to pass through here (like Reggie Wayne, Austin Collie, Joseph Addai, and Dwayne Allen), who may not have been mentioned yet is Anthony Gonzalez. The former first-rounder didn’t make it out of training camp in NE and subsequently retired. He now serves in the House of Representatives.

How about WR Donald Jones? He used to play for the Bills. I believe he retired during training camp due to health issues

He was good for a little while IIRC. Made me think of Tim Dwight.

Strange thing about Fred Taylor was how he never seemed to look comfortable in the passing game. He was billed as a complete back but, from day one, struggled to catch the ball, and run routes out of the backfield.

Tim Wright somehow caught 6 touchdowns on a super bowl winning team.

And was also deeply overrated by Joe Buck when he called one of our games that year.

Buck acted liked he was some sort of secret weapon. He was actually just benefiting from Gronk getting flogged by 3 defenders in the end zone every time.

RIP to that man for what Vince Wilfork did to him.

Tank Williams. The safety that used to play for the Titans. I think he either got injured or retired before the regular season started.
Wasn’t he on our IR like two or three times lol?
