Well like ASJ, Mr. Roberts contributions won’t be forgotten.

I wouldn't be surprised if ASJ came back, to be honest. Not saying he'd make the team much less an impact but the circumstances around his release suggest the potential for him to come back later after drying out or whatever.

Weird sequence of events for TEs in NE this offseason.

Does it feel like the franchise is swinging and missing alot lately with this position?????

.

I bet he showed up tipping the scales fat...

Mike, I’ll never forget the good times that we had from Thursday afternoon until Friday afternoon.

Is this scenario possible?

BB: Michael, we really like your potential but we don’t like giving up any draft picks. So my question to you is…does it hurt a lot or a little when I slam this hammer against your shin?

Team Doctor: Jesus, Bill, I can’t clear him now.

BB: Make sure to ice that twice daily and we will see you in three weeks to work out the contract details.

He did not pass my test

Just for the hell of it....

Roberts

Height: 6' 4"

Arm Length: 33.00 inches
Hand Size: 11.50 inches
40 Yard Dash: 4.86 seconds
20 Yard Dash: 2.82 seconds

The hand size is what sticks out. Bigger than Gronk's? Wow

Pretty good 3 cone for a man that size.

Not a terrible athlete but certainly not an explosive one.

decent cone

Caserio is already slippin’. Trying to sabotage this team with bum trades in the hopes of facilitating a quicker exit out of New England! Thank the football gods for our team doctors not letting this one slip through the cracks!

Yep, and I thought nobody would beat Amara Darboh's record.

Anyone remember Kareem Huggins? You could tell he was doomed because the one day he got to practice he was the third #36 on the roster.

So he flunked treadmill 101?

He sucks anyways. Not a big deal.

The last hit was Marty.

Yeah, I thought he was over-drafted - by almost 2 full rounds. When we were reviewing TEs that year in the draft forum, I believe the general feeling was that Roberts was more of a late 5th-round guy who definitely did not deserve to be taken ahead of, among others, George Kittle.

No doubt, he was the answer to all the Patriots TE woes, up until about 6 hours ago. Now he sucks ass like a mosquito feasting on the back end of a donkey.

I don’t think so. It’s not like the guys they were bringing in were any good. They were roster bubble players at best.

As @robertweathers said, Marty was the last hit, but he was actually a good player at that time.

Dwayne Allen was disappointing at receiving but he was a good blocker.

Ryan Izzo will sleep better tonight.
