Reports/Speculation: Texans will pursue Caserio AGAIN after 2020 Draft/UPDATE - Rumor: He wants out

Disappointing? It couldn't have ended better. BB retains his right-hand man and the Texans remain rudderless.

Well, we could’ve kept him and been rewarded a pick.

How would that have worked? If the NFL punished the Texans by forfeiting draft picks, the picks are forfeited. They aren't transferred to the aggrieved team.

That's the unknown.

I'm assuming they want Nick to have final say and if that's the case, the ask is a 1st rounder.

I’m not sure whether the Patriots have to give permission to the Texans if they win on tampering. It would seem that the Patriots would have all the leverage in any potential deal, and if they value him that much then a first is the minimum they should take.

The Patriots gave up a 1st for Belichick, think about how much he was actually worth?

Your right, my bad. Then yes this was the desired result to this situation.

Good enough for me. Caserio stays.

Ha ha, GFY Houston

This is so stupid. If the Texans tampered, it shouldn’t be the burden of the team to continue “pressing charges.” INTEGRITY is at stake here. Let’s sweep it under the rug, though, since the Patriots aren’t the accused team.

Bob, did you forget when dckbag McNair refused to read the Wells “report” yet still proceeded to throw Brady under the bus? Oh that’s right: the 31.

Was that now deceased Bob McNair?

I recall Bob schmoozing with the commish, but that's me.

A first rounder was chump change. We got the player we were targeting all along 5 rounds later.

I’m shocked. Volin’s sources are never wrong.

It’s worth a good laugh to listen to at least part of the podcast. One of the guys is a massive patriots hater who keeps commenting on the fact that they are the biggest cheaters eva and so it’s weak that they called the Texans on possible tampering. The other host states that Volin knows more about the Patriots than anyone alive. Trollin Volin, a true Pats insider.

Who is the person that said he knew someone with the Texans and they were very confident in getting Caserio?

Guess they didn't see the tampering thing coming

So it's BOB and the chaplain running the Texans. BOB was never going to cede final roster authority to Caserio. At best, Caserio to the Texans would have been a lateral move, more likely a demotion. Still don't understand any interest he could have had in this position.

So Caserio tugged some extra $$$$ out of Kraft?

That plus 1/2 of the 1sts Roger hasn't stolen from us?

This is SOOOOO good. After hearing the news that Casserio has been retained, this is the 2nd best thing that has happened to me today. #3 was going to the gym, working out, and getting home still breathing..

Volin is just a very bad reporter. He has NO sources. He merely connects common sense dots that we all do and claim they are earth shattering scoops. He's an embarrassment to his profession.

BTW- the Masslive beat writer did a podcast that I happen to catch on the social media portion of the sight. It was an excellent job. Each of 10 Pats beat reporters gave their one hot take coming out of OTA's. There guys from BSJ, the Athletic, Herald, Globe, Price, Hurley, Kyed, Giardi etc 10 guys and none of them named Volin. What a shock.

The next time Steve B is with the media at TC, he should ask what the beat guys think of Volin for real. @Ian if you want to credential me, I'd do the story.

Huh. That's uh...weird.

I guess we just have to hope that Nick is happy to stay here. I'm pretty surprised he's staying after all of this.
