2018-19 Stanley Cup - Bruins vs Blues

Has anyone considered the possibility that the Reptilians who really run the federal government instructed the league to make the sure the tracking chips that were inserted into the Bruins players when they got their immunizations as children short circuited at just the right time during key points in each game, which cost them the series? I also feel the hand of the Illuminati at work here.

Really? Incidental contact while a massive hit finishes =/= headshot by most peoples definition. Given we're on a football forum, this shouldn't need to be explained. And now that i know whoch krug hit youre talking about, if you think that needs to be called, id love to know what you think about the interference in our defensive end that resulted in tory's helmet coming off.

Get out of here with that weak ****, that hit was no where close to the things people have been *****ing about, and was another example of the blues getting away with murder. Initiated with shoulder, heads to side=clean hit in any game.

Illigitate champion for a joke league that doesnt deserve a seat at the adult table until they get rheir **** together. Hand pass game winners, pucks out of play going for goals, stars injured by illegal play and an illigitimate champion all brought to you by NHL incompetence.

There should be no defense id the leagues actions, yet the same (typically older crowd, deference to authority well ingrained) folks keep making weak excuses putting the problem at the bruins feet. They shouldn't have to win extra games. Game 5 should have been a shutout W for Rask. That kind of bush league shenanigans is unacceptable in the regular season. To celebrate it in your storied championship is a disgrace. To defend it is simple minded and asinine. To stretch things to such great lengths to equate the krug hit to the **** the blues were pulling? Are you going senile, or are you just that desperate to ignore the obvious? Bruins got jobbed, plain and simple. It deserves to be right up there with the Black Sox for championship sport scandals.

Schenn did that multiple times every game chara had the mask on. 10x the head shot your dumb ass called krugs hit. But your right, nothing to see here, illigitimate champ to be handed an unearned trophy by a disgraced league.

NONE of you were complaining about the refereeing right after game 6. In fact I saw some Bruins fans who were planning the parade as if St Louis was not a worthy opponent. One Bruins fan even PM'd me on the HF board and trashed talked that there was no way the Bruins were going to lose 3 games at home. Of course I PM'd him right back after game 7 and still haven't heard from him. :D

As a patriots fan, you should know that in the playoffs the referees tend to let things go, especially in the championship game/round. Boston simply was not coached well - Cassidy was awful in Washington. If anything, the coaching staff should have prepared for a referee crew that was going to swallow their whistles. Like it or not, the NFL does this for the Super Bowl. It makes for better TV and ratings. It is what it is - a business. St Louis took advantage of that, while Boston was caught with their pants down. Do you think Bill would have left this stone unturned? He would have scouted the referees...what was Boston doing for 10 days after the ECF?

At the end of the day, St Louis wanted it more. Perhaps if Brad Marchand didn't want to go on vacation after Peiterangelo skated around him for the Cup winning goal or if the Bruins top players actually wanted to play even strength hockey, it would be a different story.

Coaching was not an issue. The Bruins had the Blues forecheck figured out by game 6 and dominated the first period of game 7 until the goals. The Blues had 2 goals on 4 shots and it allowed them to sit back into their 1-2-2 and suffocate the Bruins, credit them for that, but it wasn’t a coaching issue. If Marchand shoots it anywhere but the 5 inches of net that Binnington was blocking on that PP it’s a totally different game.

This series was lost due to the first line being injured and underperforming while at the same time Ryan O’Reilley played the best hockey of his career for 7 games.

Nope, i had already given up on the league after 5. It never should have got to 7, shane on the refs, shame on the league. You've reaxhed back to game one to a hit that 95% would say isnt a head shot to justify the Bruins getting no calls in an attemot to say the Bruins didnt get jobbed. Add em all up and they don't cancel out all the ******** they let the blues get away with in game 5 alone. You can't tell me game 5 was a legitimate contest of skill. It was a bag job.

I heard one of the refs told Bergeron his ass looked fat in those pants.

Did Bergeron reply, "Don't you go runnin' to your daddy, when I wipe it up with your FACE."

You sound like the Canucks fans back in 2011

No. He told the ref that his breath was less than satisfactory and they had to be separated.

Enjoy your one AND ONLY championship...and Last appearance in a final for a very, very Long time.

And say Hello to the Philthydelphia Flyers, another Goon organization who will be "celebrating" their 45th year without a championship...just like your team will be in 45 years.
Now there is something we can agree on. Berube is world class hypocrite ****. Crying about the officiating and then the next day say that " he is not there to comment on the officiating"

He is an embarrassment to a once great sport.

You don’t think I know this? All I wanted was to see the Blues make a cup finals in the my lifetime. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d win one. Anything that happens from here on out is gravy.

And it took the NHL to help the Blues win. That taints it immeasurably. That the Blues play not a heavy game as some like to argue, but a dirty cheap shot game with intent to cause head trauma. Not clean, hard hits that break bones..no no. They play with zero respect for their fellow players’ safety and future mental health.

They are as undeserving of winning the Cup as any in history. More people realize this than you may know, so enjoy your tainted win.

At least the Blues have been around for 50+ years. You guys paid your dues

It drives me crazy when newer teams like the Ducks, Hurricanes, Lighting win Cups. Even the Golden Knights even making it after one year in existence is BS.

Wonder if Seattle will get the same setup Vegas did with a tight salary cap making better players available in the expansion draft. Vegas did an excellent job of picking the right players don’t get me wrong but an expansion team shouldn’t be that good right out of the gate.

Yep.

I understand the business-side of making expansion teams good early in the life but I hate it nonetheless
