I was hoping this kid had put the knee issues behind him last year. After the Harris pick and now this, I hope his career isn't defined by them.

I just hope he can give us his rookie contract.

What does a knee scope involve? Removing scar tissue?

Sounds minor but almost all knee surgery is done by scope now (including ACL) so doesn't tell us much. No surgery is good, of course.

There were reports coming out of college that he has bone on bone. It's possible to play with that but it's always going to be a concern and could end up being something that has to be managed.

with his history, best case is they want to take a look at the degenerative arthritic condition that he reportedly has and trim or remove any cartilage that may have torn off.

Not panic button time yet, by any means. But I’ve always felt there is a big difference between Stork & Mitchell vs Michel. The first two were VG picks because if a fourth rounder helps you significantly on route to a championship - that’s great ! And while Michel played a huge role in à SB win as well, fair or unfair - you expect the first rounder to be more than a shooting star.

My two cents.

Still better than Boney Maroney.
Still can't believe we missed on Jones Drew and DeAngelo Williams for him.
Whoever advocated for that pick I hope they never make a pick for the Pats again.
Williams was my first choice too, but LaMa was my clear #2; MJD had an off-field past that was somewhat concerning.
I had no problem with that pick...nor of the Chad Jackson trade-up/pick. That was pretty much the end of my IBIT At the Draft.

When DeAngelo Williams fell I danced in front the tv and went Deangelo what the frick.
Maroney

We likely don't win the SB without Michel (no I don't know for sure but it worked out well) so that was a successful pick. This doesn't sound like a major deal anyway but we have depth at RB and won the Super Bowl. So I'm good.

I just hope that the procedure didn’t involve removing the last piece of cartilage in his bum knee.
