2018-19 Stanley Cup - Bruins vs Blues

Not real sure that this is the best way to instill Rask with Game 7 confidence.
give me a break. if that's all it takes to shake up rask then they wouldn't be in the finals in the first place. Do you really think rask gives a sh!t who the flag captain is? Unbelievable lol. i thought you were done watching the games?

They wanted you first, but last week you told everyone right here that you were too busy. Remember?

"I have better things to do with my time - such as, anything else - than watching weak-ass failures surrendering for 2-3 hours, thank you very little."

NOW, you're worrying about instilling confidence??????

.
And that's how they played in games 2, 4 & 5, and for the first 2+ periods of game 6. Rask - and Rask alone - kept them competitive until they started knocking in some shots during the 3rd period.

Let's hope the shot-making trend continues...3 even-strength goals is the Magic Number, and has been throughout the POs. Bergeron absolutely Must show up tonight. The gutless zebras - in what has become one of The worst-officiated SCFs in a while - aren't going to call ANYTHING vs Swamptown & his dirty goons tonight, thus it is Imperative that Bergeron, Krecji & the rest find a way to score 3 Even-Strength goals vs Binnington, who has so far Always bounced back from a PO loss. And the sooner they score, the better Rask will play behind them; the longer they take to score, the tighter the noose around his neck will feel, especially with the 2011 Conn Smythe winner in the audience.

Yes. Everyone should be held accountable for their actions.

Lmao, he’s such a loser.

.
And I'll be here later tonight & thereafter to eat my crow if they win, but they'll need to show Game 3 dominance in order to do so because they won't be given any PP opportunities to bail them out. It's Even Strength or Bust, and their highest-paid players have to lead the way; their 3rd & 4th lines have already done More than their share.

A win tonight gives the Bruins sole possession of second place for the most NHL championships for a US franchise. Celtics are number one in the NBA, Pats tied for first in Super Bowls, Sox third in World Series and just a couple away from second...and tops this century. Pretty good sports town I guess?
Who is # 1?

Les Habs

I miss that.

Overall NHL is still low on the totem pole related to Boston sports.

I think the overall order is
MTL
TOR
DET
BOS
CHI

Which makes sense considering thats 5/6ths of the Original 6.

If Orr didnt get hurt and traded, Boston would have been a NHL dynasty.

If Orr didnt get hurt and traded, Boston would have been a NHL dynasty.

It was all before my time and I'm far from a Hockey X and O's expert but.

Bs won in 72

Broad Street Bullies showed up with skill and a ton of Physicality (Dave Schultz was a psycho) and won in 74 (beating the Bs) and 75
Habs won in 73/76/77/78/79 and simply out skated the Bs in the 77 and 78 Final. Pretty sure the Bs only won two games across both series.
Then the Islanders showed up and rattled off 4 straight
Then the Oilers showed up and won 4 out of 5.

Not sure those early 70s Bs teams could have got much more than they did.

...and if Ed Johnston hadn't surrendered 5 straight goals during game 2 in Boston of the 1971 quarter-finals vs Montreal, the Bs would've won 3 straight cups to start that dynasty.

Besides 1970 & 1972, they should've won in 1971 & 1974 (Philthy was Not the better team) and in 1979. That's 5 in the decade compared to Montreal's (what should've been only) 4.

if the whl wasn't created the Bruins would be a dynasty.
Ce soir, vous êtes cordialement invité au TD Garden pour profiter de la victoire des Bruins sur les Blues de St. Louis et de Boston en remportant la Coupe de Stanley. Merci et amusez-vous.

Au fait, baise les Canadiens.

I positioned things to be as favorable as possible to our teams, of course. ;)
