2018-19 Stanley Cup - Bruins vs Blues

GM 1: Bs 4-2, Dirt 1st 2 goals
GM 2: Dirt 3-2 (OT), Bs 1st goal
GM 3: Bs 7-2, Bs 1st 4 goals
GM 4: Dirt 4-2, Dirt 1st goal
GM 5: Dirt 2-1, Dirt 1st 2 goals
GM 6: Bs 5-1, Bs 1st 3 goals

Seems like this series started a month ago. Let's hope for a repeat of GM 3 or 6 (both in StL). Maybe game 7 should be played in STL, lmao.

Don't forget Kevin Mannix.

Borges was brutal on PomPom as well.

That SB36 win changed everything for how BB was treated

As Tune correctly pointed out the Globe issue hasn't been with the sports writers, who were always death on the Pats anyway, but with the supposed news and op ed clowns.

A lot of talking heads are saying that and I felt playing the elimination game in St. Louis in front of all the hoopla and hostile crowd was just what a dejected Bruins team needed to wake them up. As far as game 7 goes....if they can't get up for that at home and do what they did to St. Louis in games 1, 3 and 6 because they are clearly the better team and should be able to establish and control the tempo then they have a problem.

Interesting how so many media pundits think the Bruins would be better off playing game seven in St. Louis vs. at home.

It's been an odd series with both teams going 1-2 at home. Tomorrow the Bruins can fix that trend and quiet down the mediots.

And how blessed our we as fans with another shot at a title so soon?

Mannix wrote for the Herald. He was a good football writer, I always liked him. He took Tuna to task for being arrogant (calling him a "pantload") but was pretty fair about it overall giving credit where credit was due.

Yes re: Mannix. I was speaking to writers being dooches to BB in general. It wasn't just the Globe was my point.

I’ve seen a number of comments in this thread saying just that. Deus has said it a number of times, and Woolster just did the same in response to my comment.

If we're comparing apples to apples, this yeard version of the regular season nhl was called as soft as baby poo. The suspensions made it even more clear. I'm all for letting em play and letting things go, but when a team is allowed to head hunt without responce from the league and fighting is all but banned, something has to give.

Hopefully the Bs are up big and can drop em and give these twats whats coming to em at the end of the game tomorrow. I cant think of anything bettet than the boys skating around with the cup while Shenn/Perron is still knocked the hell out on the ice. Who cares if they get a game to start next year. Acciari had the look of someone whos just waiting til the real consequences (booted from a cup game) are no longer enforceable. Backes will absolutely drop em if hes on ice. Hes been begging for a fight since this **** started and the candy ass refs keep stifling it.

The penalty at the end of the game should be tacked on to the first 2 minutes of the final game !! Time for a rule change so that crap doesn't continue in the future. If it's egregious enough, a game suspension should deter that kind of thuggery ...JMHO

The officiating has been abysmal in this year's playoffs. I really wish that one of these leagues would start firing officials after displays of obvious incompetence.

Lack of accountability is rampant through any organization you can deacribe as an authority in todays society. Cops, dcf, dor, gov't in general, docs, refs you name it. Apparently giving enough effort to claim you tried while being thoroughly incompetent at your job is enough these days.

I'm recently divorced, full custody and she hasnt been keeping up with support. DOR's one and only job is to take her money, write down when they took it and give it to me. They cant do that without ****ing it all up and refuse to fix the error that is causing issues even though they admit its a mistake. They also hire out 3rd party accountants (or so i was told friday) which is absurd. Their job is to essentially collect and then act as a personal accountant for the parties involved. So the state creates a massive organization and doesn't even staff it so they can properly do their job. Welcome to 2019. She owes me about 10k, i have a buddy who was locked up over 600. I saw the judge in my case put a developmentally disabled (or so he claimed) black teen in jail over a grand. So much for equal rights

Just got a call from one of my vendors and I will be in the building for game 7!!!!!!!!!!!!

#Brag

Happy for ya, man. That is awesome - - enjoy!!!!!!!

But what really disturbs me isn't Berube's attempt to take the game back to the last century and trying to manipulate the officiating, but the fact that the officials (read NHL) are literally buying EVERYTHING the guy is selling.

Not only are they allowing most of the cheap shots the Blues are dishing out, they inexplicably calling the B's for things they are letting the Blues get away with all the time. When you look at the box score the penalties were 4-4, but 2 of the Blues penalties came during their usual thuggery attacks at the end of the game......

.

This hits the nail on the head, Ken. I wrote last week that the NHL refs have been clearly seeing what the Blues are doing - - - hell they've been telegraphing the whole world about it - - but they are making like WWW refs.

.

If the Blues played this way in the mid 80's, 90's and even the early 00s against the Bruins they would have had Jay Miller, Lyndon Byers, Chris Nilan, Jeff Odgers, Ken Baumgartner Ken Belanger and PJ Stock (just to name a few) immediately drop gloves and set tone.

Game has changed and I am not so sure its for the better.

That's all very emotionally satisfying to fans, but did those Bruins teams win any cups?

Before that, I distinctly remember the Habs of the mid to late 70's owning the Big Bad Bruins by skating around them to those Stanley Cups.

.....Hightower's 3 rings say "hi" to Vontaez Burfickt also.

Re: your final line. The GAME is better. Not so sure about the raw entertainment value. Kind of like going to NASCAR and not seeing any crashes.

Unfortunately it looks like Griz isn’t going to return.

If you haven't noted an escalation in hatchet jobs over the last half dozen years from where it was when Krafty Bob bought the team 25 years ago I'd submit you either haven't been paying attention or perhaps aren't old enough to recall how cordially both the team and the Krafts were treated between the time they saved the Pats from going to St Louis and when the team became a juggernaut.

Actually, some of it DOES go back pre-Henry at the Globe to when Shank was denied entry to a free breakfast at Foxboro Stadium in the late 90's.

The GlobeSox merely accelerated and spreaded it out from Shank.

That being said, I root for the Sox..........and hope the pregame tomorrow night is Brady waving the flag and Big Papi up on the Jumbotron from his hospital bed roaring for the B's to win it our "our fahkin' city!!!!!"

The roof might blow off.

The Blues Won The Cup

WE DID IT!
The St. Louis Blues are Stanley Cup Champions.
We finally did it. The Blues are champs and nothing can take that away from us. GLORIA!
Get your merch today to celebrate.

Well if they lose some impoverished in other countries will have some Blues gear to wear.

What a classless jerk.

It is in the best interest of the human race the Blues do not win the cup.

The Blues are apparently feeling the pressure of their pending Game 7 all the way up to the executive suite. On Tuesday, St. Louis general manager Doug Armstrong freaked out at the Garden Zamboni Crew, according to multiple reporters on the scene, because the ice wasn’t ready for Blues practice.

“Do your f— jobs,” he yelled at the employees, channeling his inner-Bill Belichick in the worst and cheesiest way imaginable.

The ice resurfacers, hard-working folks whom probably make a small fraction of what Armstrong takes home, apparently didn’t take his entitled whining kindly. “Who pissed in your cheerios this morning,?” one of them replied, per TSN’s Darren Dreger.

Really? Has no one told you about Shaughnessy's deep hatred of the Kraft family?

Ummm.....they're giving away a LOT of size to that other team. Our only size advantaged player has a broken jaw.

Let's think first.
