2018-19 Stanley Cup - Bruins vs Blues

I still think we can win this thing.

As to the refs it's not just this series let's not forget the hand pass, the goal that bounced off the safety net, and all the other bull ****.

Well, I've already said their season is over so I've done what I can.

Bs were down 3-2 vs Vancouver as well.

Its going to be a great story.

FWIW I saw this stat shared on the Bruins HF board.

"5 of the last 6 teams that lost Game 5 when tied 2-2 in the series, who won Game 6, also won Game 7
Habs in '71
Avs '01
Bolts '04
Pens '09
Bs '11"

Speaks to the line I mentioned earlier from Andy Ference in the '11 Championship DVD. Losing Game 6 when you are up 3-2 is devastating.

EDIT TO ADD - I checked the stats, the Devils in '03 Lost Game 6 and won Game 7.

So its 5 of last 6, not 6 of last 7

yes sir, i work at Scott AFB and live in Breese IL out by Lake Carlyle. How about you when you were here?

Father was stationed at Scott (lived in nearby Ofallon). Being a military brat can explain my love for certain teams (cards, blues- Scott afb And huskers- offutt afb)

BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. You were saying the same sh!t when they were down 3 to 2 against the leafs. You want them to lose so you have something to ***** about. if they win you will be miserable. And you won't say a word. You will hide. do yourself a favor stop watching.
I have better things to do with my time - such as, anything else - than watching weak-ass failures surrendering for 2-3 hours, thank you very little.

Unfortunately game 6 was in Boston and the Canucks were horrendous on the road.
1st rd this year vs the leafs. down 3 to 2. went on the rd to toronto won game 6. 2011 won game 7 on the rd. it amazes me how people throw in the towel so easily.

You guys are optimistic. I see them psychically getting their ass kicked. I could be wrong but I don't see a Stark-ian comback.

Exactly. Anyone who has been following the Bruins for a while knows this and why they actually play the games.

Before the POs began, I would've wanted the Blues to win if the Bs didn't...

Now...I hope that the jet carrying Swamptown & his dirty goons crashes after takeoff.

I get it. We’ve had that effect on opposing fans throughout this run.

Before the playoffs, If the blues were eliminated it was “anyone but the penguins” for me. If there’s any fan base I detest, it’s the Steelers. The penguins/pirates are hated by default.

In case anyone else is curious, I went back and pulled the stats for Stanley Cup Final Game 7s in series that were tied 2-2.

See attached image. Teams who go down 3-2 in the finals and force a Game 7 are 6-3 in Game 7.

Again, just a FWIW. As Kevin Millar would say, history says don't let the Bs win Sunday Blues.

I honestly am worried about you. Is there someone near you who can help?

how can anybody who claims to be a Boston sports fan be that miserable? 12 titles since 01 and the last title was 100 days ago. after reading stone you would think he was a Cleveland fan.

Honestly, I'm concerned and hope he can go to that thread on this site where some of the posters have been able to find some support. This is a great community.

His previous posts were a bit concerning but post #4090 put it in a deeper perspective.

I don't think we should be poking fun at him.

.

Both teams have been extremely resilient this post season. This deserves to go 7

You guys are handling this series well...

Reminds me of the old Rodney Dangerfield joke: "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out."

Fights at a hockey game are a dime a dozen. This one is par for the course.

I love the fact that they were playing Stone Cold Steve Austin's music over the PA as it was happening. The Patriots need to sign the guy who threw the beer to a vet minimum contract and get him to camp. That was one of the finest beer throws I've ever seen. A laser.
