Thought I read he had a problem with alcoholism?

Hope his release is due to something else.

“Personal issues” is ominous for a guy who battled alcoholism for so many years. He says he was sober from January 2017 to January 2018, but we unfortunately haven’t really gotten any updates since then.

Not really surprised. I didn't have him on my first roster projection.

They only gave him $50k guaranteed and signed him late. It was obvious he was much more a bubble player than the media suggested. They gave LaCosse $500k guaranteed as a comparison and Watson got even more.

That TE depth though....

I could keep the seat warm for a couple of weeks. I'll take a team friendly, half vet min deal if it helps.

I take a different lesson from having our top TE's of a couple of weeks ago go on a 4 week suspension and the other being cut.

I don't know who will be on the 5 man roster.

For example, 3 weeks might be enough for Izzo or Anderson to show that they are worth of keeping on the 53 as a 3rd TE and a 2nd for 2020.

Also, we could trade for a TE. If this were to happen, I would expect a player who we would expect to play in 2020. We already have our 1 year ver in Watson.

Hopefully they release him. If not he is just too expensive for us.

Bill won't keep extra TEs just to fill out the depth chart. If only two TEs deserve a spot, then that's all he will keep.
