Hey friends,

Just a short note that if you don't see me in threads for awhile, it's because I am taking some time off here and these. I beat heart disease, only to be diagnosed with cancer in my right kidney. So far, it hasn't metastasized, so there's that. I had one tumor removed, and we are cautiously optimistic that the docs will nail the rest of it by the time the season starts.

Anyway, I am not asking for sympathy or anything like that, just saying that I may lurk off and on, and post when I feel better. This place seems like a second family to me, so I wanted to let you know what's going on with me, etc.

One good thing is that I've dropped 102lbs, though I would say that cancer is NOT a proper weight loss regimen.

Thanks for putting up with me. I'll check back in as I am able.

respects,

Gwedd

Wishing you the best. Hang in there and please keep us updated throughout the summer.

Best of luck to you and gronk the hell out of that disease!

I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through, that really sucks. But we're all pulling for you to kick cancer's ass, best of luck in everything to come.

You’ve got this. You’re in my thoughts.

Take care of #1, have had heart issues, but no Cancer experience.. wife had a bout couple of years ago, was amazed at the complexity of that disease and the medical infrastructure to deal with it in the NE.. noticeable as a witness is the variety and quality of care available.

Wish you well, hopefully you find good hands to guide you on this journey..

Best of luck to you. Kick it’s ass.

Destroy the mother&?:/er and don’t leave anything but your complete victory over it, Gwedd. We’re all pulling for you and looking forward to the day you are back on here posting, because as you wrote, that means you’re feeling better then. To that day!

Give it hell Gwedd! We’ll all be pulling for you.

Come back soon if you can to take your mind off things.

Get well Brother.

Thoughts and prayers. Looking forward to another update in a few weeks/months.
