He should find a way to bottle up his takes and sell them.

Bart Scott running his mouth aftet the Jets beat the Pats telling that little prick Bob Costas that he couldnt wait to face Pittsburgh.

The Steelers ran directly at Scott and over him all night.

Why couldn’t the Pats just have done that?

Who did he want as Head Coach?

It wasn't about who he thought should be HC of the NEP but who he thought shouldn't. Specifically O'Connor didn't believe Belichick had it in him from an interpersonal skills standpoint to lead an organization and his first best destiny was being a career D coordinator. In the interest of fairness, O'Connor has owned it and is supposedly at work on a Belichick book

No, because he’s just complimenting him.

I thought the pick was going to be David Baas.
I'm not the only one who immediately thought of tampering when I read Rivers' comments. It's virtually being discussed all over the place. Given Rivers' position, it's more than just complimenting Leonard. It's tampering.

There are 2 sports media jackwagons that should dominate this thread.
Here is 1 ... the other is battling non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma so I'll leave him be and wish him well.

Poor build. Very skinny and narrow. Ended the '99 season weighing 195 pounds and still looks like a rail at 211. Looks a little frail and lacks great physical stature and strength. Can get pushed down more easily than you'd like. Lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush. Lacks a really strong arm. Can't drive the ball down the field and does not throw a really tight spiral. System-type player who can get exposed if he must ad-lib and do things on his own.
Is that a pre-draft analysis, or something Ron Borges wrote in 2018?

"On a day when they could have had impact players David Terrell or Koren Robinson or the second best tackle in the draft in Kenyatta Walker, they took Georgia defensive tackle Richard Seymour, who had 1 sack last season in the pass-happy SEC and is too tall to play tackle at 6-6 and too slow to play defensive end. This genius move was followed by trading out of a spot where they could have gotten the last decent receiver in Robert Ferguson and settled for tackle Matt Light, who will not help any time soon.”

Patsfans is a good place for this thread

An awful hotsportztake was the Michael Silver/Tom Curran "growing disconnect" narrative of sevwral years ago between Brady, Belichick, and Kraft, but iirc it was mostly a "disconnect" between Brady and Kraft. Silver wrote about it on Yahoo and Curran carried his water...it was a complete joke

Mike Silver is a despicable cretin of a human being

Amazing.

I don't even consider them to be honest. They've been wrong a lot which is unsurprising given their entire job is to bring hot takes.

But just for the hell of it, their hot takes on Brady over the years has been hilariously bad. They used to talk about how he was average on the playoffs, that 2013 was his last year with the Patriots, Deflategate etc. Brady bashing has literally been Felger's shtick for years.

next time on First Take...

Max : "Stephen!...so Brady, he's what....2-1 in super bowl since my statement? That's .666 pct. I don't know what school system you go to, but in the fine school system that I'm around that's a clear D. Below average...big fat D. My statement is correct"

Here’s a good one from Breesus Christ mid season insanity last year. Yeah, this is a good debate worth some air time. Usually the fourth best QB of his era gets in the GOAT discussion.

(Don’t actually click it - just laugh at the absurdity of its existence)

This was one that made me laugh. Considering the era and the fact that NO ONE was ever better than Pedro 1997-03, how was a guy like Sale being compared who isn’t even the clear best pitcher in baseball? Does anyone actually freakin remember the magician known as Pedro Effing Martinez? When Pedro pitched, it was like a regional holiday with excused absences the next day at school. No pitcher has ever made hitters looked completely bewildered - like they’ve never even been in a batting cage - than Pedro.

Chris Sale last year? Cool story, bro. Lots of strikeouts and in the CY discussion.

Chris Sale Might Be Pitching Better Than Pedro Martinez Did In 1999
