2018-19 Stanley Cup - Bruins vs Blues

What has it been, 8 years? Lol tonight i finally got to celebrate our first Stanley cup finals win. Man the Boston sports fan sure has it rough. What’s it been, 3 months since the last championship?
How many playoff wins have we witnessed this year? Crazy!

Can the Bruins take some shots? Are there any points awarded for beautiful passing?

Maybe they remember what happened to Rade, and don't dare shoot until after 4 passes.

I hope you are right. they won 8 straight. maybe they were due. I fear the 1st line lost something because they were off so long.
Let's not start the "due" thing again :p

Big loss. Blues knocking out our players. That's how they won the last series.

Even more disheartening is the Bruins clearly were out-hustled. Pretty unforgivable at home during a championship series.

This. Whereas game 1 was the complete opposite when the bruins were faster, smarter and dominated.

If karlsson hurting his groin and pavelski having concussion issues from a clean hit on the boards is knocking out their players then so be it. It’s a physical game, injuries happen.

First the red hoodie.

Now the black Patagonia jacket.

Wait! Are you saying that Boston didn't dominate for all but, like, 3 minutes in this game? Be on the lookout for calliope music, if you are.
Hey bozo, just because the B’s played like crap last night doesn’t validate all of your god awful takes throughout the playoffs. Unlike you, I have a bit of hockey sense and can assess their level of play instead of just spouting off nonsense and negative garbage after each game. When they play like crap like last night, I say so. When they dominate shots, chances, TOA, skate circles around opponents like they have all playoffs, I say they played well and deserved to win (unlike you).

It’s funny that the roles were reversed last night between the two teams. See how the Blues dominated in pretty much every category? Yeah, that means they deserved to win and were the better team, sorta like the Bruins in game 1 (hint: they didn’t play their “D” game and they certainly weren’t “fortunate to win”).

Also, everybody in here has seen you get your ass handed to you, you ran away with your tail tucked away, and now you try to shoot some weak passive aggressive comment like a weasel. Everybody sees through your bs

Figure out what last change means yet?

They will be out in five if this effort keeps up. Especially considering the series now returns to St. Louis. This isn't looking good at all.
Relax. The bruins are still the better team by far. Blues played to their full potential while the Bruins played like garbage all while skating 5 D-men and losing in OT.

Also, would be nice if Bruce sends in a nice video of all the bs obstruction on the Blues. They could have been called for about 10 penalties on obstruction/interference alone. Every dump in is met with a clutch/grab which disabled the Bruins from getting their effective forecheck going.

Still think the Bruins win in 5 or 6.

There is no "due"

Only, the Bruins winning and the Bruins cheated by the refs.

The officiating has been fair.

Chara slashed and busted a guys stick game 1 and was not called.

A Blues player slashed last night breaking a stick and was called. The Refs are letting them play and the calls equal out.

The Bruins missed opportunities and so did the Blues.

STL definitely did a better job containing the Bruins speed game and that was the difference in game two. I can't decide how much of that was the Blues and how much was the Bruins just not skating. The Bruins looked like a team coming off no rest not the one who had played one game in 10 days.

Marchand has been flat out awful. I cursed him out loud at least a half dozen times before the announcers picked up on it. Pasternak has been nearly as bad. Bergeron although not making the mistakes of the other two has been invisible for large stretches. That line cannot play this badly for the duration of the series. I'd have a short leash in game 3 and split them up if things aren't going well from the start.

For those complaining about the Blues chippy style you were all cheering that style in 11 because this Blues team looks a lot like that team, minus Thomas was unconscious for the B's that year. This years Bruins team needs to decide they're the faster more skilled team. They need to make plays in space and use their speed. That's not to say they should abandon being physical they just need to dictate when and not let the Blues do it for them.

Uh...about that Ruins > Stealers thingy...

I agree with your assessment, but I'm thinking more like 6 or 7.

Ugly night for the home team. Marshmont needs to get his head out of his ass (Pasta as well to a lesser extent).

Way too many turnovers and Marshmont jumping up on the breakout when he was the last forward back leaving Chara hanging out to dry was fairly awful.

If there is such a thing, they deserved to lose based on that effort.

Need to take one in their barn now. Bs have been a good road team. Heres hoping.

There is some hope based on them losing in OT and the Blues playing as well as they could (?).

Hope Grz can make it back. Clifton is getting exposed and a DMan depth of Clifton and Moore would be less than desirable.
