My prediction for the receivers that will make the final 53 man roster are:

Edelman
Harry
Dorsett
Inman
Thomas
Gordon

Thomas & Gordon may not start the season though. Thomas may be on PUP, and most likely Gordon will be suspended (I’m guessing 8 games). Therefore, it’ll be great to have Inman and Harry getting a lot of reps until they are ready. I’m guessing out of camp, it’ll be Edelman, Harry, Dorsett & Inman.

One dark horse is Berrios. If he has a GREAT camp, your have to think the Pats, despite resigning Edelman, they know they need to groom a slot receiver. Being that they went hard after slot receivers in Free Agency, Berrios making the team wouldn’t be too shocking.

Either way, I like the mixture of those 6, you have 2 small fast/quick guys in Edelman and Dorsett, and the tall/big receivers in the other 4.

What are your thoughts/predictions ?

I agree with your 6. Harris has an outside chance.

A flashing young WR has been a tradition. There have been many like Childress. They look great, but don't make the 53. There are many candidates for this role; Barrios is one. The reality is that many are competing for Practice Squad spots.

Unless a miracle happens I doubt we will see Thomas or Gordon in the regular season before the BYE. Thomas because I think the team will keep him on PUP to not waste a roster spot on a player still working to be fully back. Gordon for disciplinary reasons.

Edelman, Harry, Dorsett, Inman + 1 seems the most likely.

I don’t often root against people but I really hope DT gets cut.

DT starts the season on PUP for sure. Chao noted that he had a noticeable hitch in his step still. Gordon will start the season suspended. That leaves Harry, Edelman, Inman, Dorsett, and either Berrios or a receiver signed during TC.

Did anyone notice that Inman and Harris both had 28 catches and 304 yards last year. What are the odds...

Is Berrios still eligible for the practice squad again? If so, I could see that and maybe Maurice Harris will make the team.

Having never played an NFL snap (and being unlikely to in the future), Berrios is fully eligible for the PS.

Right now I've got the same as OP except I'm assuming Gordon will start on the suspended list since he's suspended indefinitely. Good chance DT starts on PUP but since camp hasn't started I'm not projecting anyone to be on the PUP. The real intrigue comes in if/when both Gordon and Thomas are available at the same time. That could be it for the 5th guy (I'd guess Inman).

As for Berrios, I've made my thoughts known on the player himself, but I want to nitpick on the "slot receiver" designation when it comes to replacing Edelman. When talking about Harry, Caserio (I think, maybe it was McDaniels?) said he saw Harry as more of a big slot and Edelman as an outside guy. That seems important to keep in mind moving forward when talking about replacements and such. Also, Edelman just locked himself on the roster through 2021.

Gordon is the ultimate factor that could greatly change things. So for now, he is not included. To me at this point it is:

Edelman
Harry

Those are the two locked spots. I’m guessing we will keep five as usual (not counting Slater) So, the players fighting for those three spots are:

Dorsett
Thomas
Inman
Harris
Berrios

Obviously another UDFA or veteran signing can be added into this mix. The way they are listed above also feels like the order of likelihood to me as well. Dorsett seems like a near lock, but a bad camp/ improved competition could quickly change that.

Also should be noted that if Gordon DOES come back, I think the player who is at the most jeopardy above would be Thomas due to the player similarity.

Only 11 & Harry have spots 100%. But i’d Put Dorsett as a near lock as well. After that : guessing game.

I can definitely see Harris making it if one or both Gordon/Thomas aren’t ready to go week 1.

Here's mine:

The LOCKS: Julian Edelman, N'Keal Harry, Josh Gordon (Suspended), and Matthew Slater (I don't care, he counts as a WR when we build the roster).

Highly likey to make the club: Philip Dorsett & Demaryius Thomas (if he's 100% I like his chances).

Guys competing for Josh Gordon's spot: Dontrelle Inman, Maurice Harris, and Braxton Berrios

Not likely to make the club: Jakobi Meyers, Ryan Davis, Damoun Patterson, and Gunner Olszewski (might make it as a ST/CB...but we are stacked at CB).

Summary: We are going with 6 WR's...including Slater. So, ASSUMING everyone is 100% and not suspended...my top 6 are: Edelman, Harry, Gordon, Dorsett, Thomas, and Slater. Although, I could see Inman/Harris/Berrios pushing Dorsett/Thomas off the roster if they do well in camp ...but Inman/Harris/Doresett/Thomas don't play ST's.......so that is a leg up for Berrios to make the club.

Quite a few beat guys are actually going with 4 WRs and 3 TEs over 5 WRs (plus Slater). Just FYI..

For those of us who think LaCosse is really the 5th WR it makes sense

I think everyone is going with 7WR+TE

So either 5 WR and 2 TE
or 4 WR and 3 TE

Yeah, that is a possibility...we could just roll with Edelman, Harry, and Dorsett for the early going to be able to keep 1-2 other players (likely at CB where we are over stocked)...but at some point we'll need WR's and I absolutely see us putting Gordon out there when he's ready to go....

I don’t think Dorsett is so much of a lock, tbh. Put it this way, I think it would be great news if he didn’t make the cut.
